The princess collects half-breed handmaidens to satisfy her exotic tastes, so far she has a half-elf and a half-gnome (both are crossbreeds with humans):

Her other two handmaidens are called "Quarterlings" because they're 25% human, 25% elf, 25% gnome, and 25% dwarf. The mixed genetics result in some hybrid vigor that combines the best features of all their respective progenitors.
