Ahoy friends and futa fans! This past week I've streamed 4 days of sculpting and painting muscle futa mini mods on picarto and discord, and it's been awesome to see so many of you come and check it out!
I was a bit worried that most of you wouldn't want to see me spending time on anything besides drawing – but since everything I do centers around the theme of muscular futas, it's just another way to work with the shapes and features I enjoy, and it sounds like you guys are enjoying them too!
I will be posting high-res photos of the finished figures when they're fully painted, with proper lighting, maybe even 360 rotation gifs, BUT I don't really have any fully completed figures to show yet.
I'm still pretty new at this hobby, I've been dabbling with it for the past few years (you can see my previous experiments with clay here and here) and in the last 6 months I started to practice modding up resin 3d prints.
I'm no expert sculptor or painter, but still it's been really encouraging that so many of you seem excited that I'm creating these muscle futa mini mods, I've heard a bunch of you ask to see more pics of the work in progress, which surprised me.
You can view archived VOD recordings of my mini streams on picarto, the 12 latest streams get saved on my picarto videos page, but those are 8-10 hour videos and even skipping around, it's a lot to search through.
So I figured it would be good for me to comb through the streams myself and pull screenshots of some good illustrative frames, and I'll also provide a little commentary for context as we go. This is going to be a MASSIVE post!
Ready? Let's begin our journey into the third dimension...

First, I'll show you what I mean by "modding"
I use Apoxie Sculpt modeling compound (epoxy resin), which is 2 types of special clay you mix together to activate. It's soft and can be sculpted like clay for 2 hours, then permanently hardens to a solid resin, the same material my 3d printed figures are made of.

That means when I add extra muscle or curves with the epoxy, it can be smoothed and blended with the base figure, then painted over.

So with enough patience, they can be as busty or bulgy as our horny brain desires:

Step by step I take small chunks of epoxy and mold them around the figure to bulk them up with muscle, add bigger boobs, and most importantly bless them with big girl dicks:

Let's dive in to some sculpting – Here's a goblin girl I'm modding to become Pokkuti's OC Mia, which means giving her a side-shave haircut, adding muscle to beef up her arms, and topping her off with some massive knockers for appropriately top-heavy shortstack proportions.

Here you can see me adding a piece of epoxy the size of a gain of rice, which will become her shoulder muscle:

I use silicone-tipped brushes to shape and smooth the epoxy. A second piece is added for her tricep:

The completed buffed-up arm:

I can only do a little at a time because the epoxy needs 2 hours to fully harden. If I started buffing her other arm right away, I would have probably accidentally grabbed the sculpted arm and smushed it with my fingers (I've done that so many times I learned my lesson about working in small sections.)
This next one is a bunny girl I'm modding based on VonGrauenhausen's OC Ana the llama girl – even buffer and shorter-stacked than Mia.
Starting with some big orbs for massive muscle butt:

Shaping and smoothing the glutes. Because she's a shorty, I took a normal height figure and cut her legs off below the knees, so I can make thiccer legs with a shorter proportion.

Bulking up her quads now:

One quad sculpted, one in progress:

Next her hamstrings will need some bulking:

That's the shape we want to see:

I stopped there to let her legs harden and switched to a different figure.

A beefy Orc warrior I'm modding into my size-draining Orc OC Voska. I enhanced her chest with some huge busty melons, cut away her loincloth, and added a gigantic two-handed weapon between her legs.

After sculpting the enhancements, every figure needs to be covered with a full coat of primer paint.

This makes the color paint stick to the figure better, and blends the modded parts together with the base figure so it's not as obvious which parts were added.

I use black primer because it gets into all the deep cracks, so when color is added on top, any unpainted dark areas look like shadows.
After the primer dries, I add a coat of green skin:

Then shiny metal armor:

Brown leather details:

The armor looks too bright and clean, so I use a dark brown wash to dirty her up.

A "wash" is a watery paint that uses gravity and evaporation to create natural physics-based shading effects. You just slop it on everywhere and let it dry.

As the moisture evaporates, gravity pulls the pigmented paint down to the lowest areas and deepest cracks. This simulates the effect of light only hitting raised areas and not reaching into the deep cracks or bottoms of objects.

As it dries the armor starts to look better. Next we add light green for skin highlights:

Now I'm using a "dry brush" technique: wipe most of the paint off on a paper towel so you only deposit a light dusting of paint that can be blended with the base color.

Pretty much the same approach I use to color my 2d art.

I think about the raised areas sunlight would touch and paint those brighter.

And leave it darker where the sun don't shine.

This one is turning out pretty good!

I like this mix of colors (2 shades of green and a brown wash):

She's not finished yet, still needs more details like ivory white tusks, toenails, eyes, and more highlighting around the edges of her armor.

But she's almost done!

Next I'll show another orc, this figure is about 3 times bigger than the last one allowing for more detail.

I decided to use light green paint as the base color for her skin this time.

I only added the boobs and cock to this figure as she was already nicely muscled.

Now I'm adding a dark green wash to shade the skin.

Instead of starting with dark skin and building up highlights (like the last orc), I started with light skin and used a dark color wash to create the shadows.

I used too much wash on her legs, but got the right amount on her arm, you can see the difference it makes in highlighting the muscle definition.

I ended up adding a bit more light green with a dry brush to balance her out.

Next a female barbarian, this was one of my first attempts at epoxy modding 6 months ago:

I added her boobs, abs, legs, basically all her skin except face and hands I covered with more mass:

Her skirt was long so I didn't make her a futa (visibly anyway).

Now I add a reddish-brown wash to her skin:

Because this was an early attempt, her boobs aren't very smooth, so the wash tends to highlight any uneven texture in places like that. I could always give her a skimpy leather bra to cover up those imperfections later.

Holding my breath to paint her impossibly small eye details:

Honestly surprised at how well I was able to paint the detail of her eye, despite making a mess of the surrounding lashes and brows:

Need to do some more cleanup on her face details, but she has a pretty fierce expression!

Moving on, here's Rabbit Hero Mirko I'm doing for Unnero:

Sporting a big dong like she deserves:

Tried to match her cock size and shape to Unnero's 3d version:

Adding black primer:

I made a total mess of her face trying to paint her eyes and teeth white, the paint was too watery this time:

Makes me miss having an "undo" button ಥ_ಥ but we got there in the end.

More Mirko still to come... going to try giving her a drip of pre:

Next a coffee barista equipped with an industrial-grade creamer dispenser:

Didn't give her any muscle enhancement, just the cock:

Adding blush:

Getting closer to presentable:

A boxer girl sporting a big bulge:

Before/after bulgification:

Abby Anderson from TLoU2, this one's inspired by Salamandra's buff futa version of the character. You can't see it in this pic, but she's packing a massive dick bulge in her pants.

I already buffed up her flexing arm and started to paint it, then decided to add more muscle to the other arm to balance it out. More moscles still needed.

Speaking of biceps, here's a bust of Daenerys Targaryen that was irresistible to me. She had the perfect flexing pose, but a total twig of an arm.

I couldn't let that string bean bicep abide so I got to work buffing her up:

With bigger figures like hers I have to do the muscle groups one at a time, so that I don't mess up the finished parts in the process of adding new ones.

It's a bit like "saving" my progress except it takes 2 hours every time... That's why I jump around between so many figures, to avoid downtime.

Now most of her arm muscle groups are in place, she just needs some tendons connecting the elbow and forearm to blend in, and of course her other arm will need buffing as well.
Here's another bust I've been working on enhancing, showing the original sculpt next to my modded version for comparison:

The original pose is pretty cute, a forest druid introducing her horned friend to a sweet little squirrel. But I see an arm bent like that I can only think one thing... I removed the critter and made her hand a closed fist for a gratuitous bicep flex.

Also gave the druid girl a huge rack and packed both her arms with muscle.

Now their pose reads more like the horned girl is saying "check please" or "I'll take this one" 。^‿^。

I've also been experimenting modding tin/pewter/metal figures. The details aren't as good as resin 3d prints, but they're cheap, easy to get, and have some nice poses to work with:

Slapped a six pack and a dick on her:

It's harder to blend the epoxy smoothly against metal, but paint will help with that.

I'll keep adding more coats of skin color to blend her abs better.

Another metal figure of a waitress serving drinks:

You can imagine what's in those mugs she's carrying...

Enhancing her calves:

And buffing her arms if she's going to be carrying those drinks all day:

This hitchhiker makes a pretty enticing offer as to why you should give her a ride:

Muscling up her calves for good measure:

One leg down, one to go:

Back to resin figures, here's a simple and "modest" one:

And a less modest horny succubus demon:

I'm still learning something new with every dick I sculpt.

A goblin knight with a very big lance for jousting:

You know it was only a matter of time until this character showed up:

Summertime Cammy chilling in a pool:

Her cock and balls hang down into the inner tube (there's no cock tip because its underwater)

Blush for the beans:

and blush for her face, elbows, knees, and butt:

Eye detail:

Blonde hair:

Red accessories:

She's coming along:

Eyes looking halfway decent:

Buns n balls on point.

Gold star if you recognize this lady, more of her next time:

Another maybe recognizable face:

Velma got some abs and a big girthy log to go with her boob job and contact lenses (because I removed her glasses).

Painting eyes is always tricky, but on big figures it gets a little easier to see what you're doing:

First black dots for the iris/pupil:

Then a white dot to simulate a reflection:

Not perfect but that's okay, even when it's a little bit messy I'm figuring out how to give the eyes some character:

Selfie girl with some muscle enhancement:

and of course a longer donger than her lens can properly frame in portrait mode, that's why she has it turned landscape for a selfie, you see:

Another attempt at painting eyes on a buffed up princess:

Very tricky, but also satisfying to see the figures coming to life.

I've got a cute statue of two girls hugging that I want to mod into Kim & Jenna:

Step 1: she needs that signature Jenna nose shape.

There it is!

A forest dryad sprouting wood:

Trying a different shade of green skin from the other greens I used for orcs:

She has some bark and vine details growing out of her:

went for a sort of Poison Ivy color palate:

A mix of washes and dry brushes helped make some interesting patterns and gradients, like the spots on her forearms.

Mostly I'm modding unpainted resin or metal statues, but I'm also trying my hand at buffing-up some statues that are already painted, like this Harley Quinn:

After adding the muscle I'll need to fully repaint her skin so it all matches (but I can leave her face and outfit alone).
Of course if you look a little lower you'll notice I added something extra:

A second Harley figure with an arms-up pose that I wanted to see with bigger biceps and boobs:

I've been bouncing back and forth between these Harleys, one was supposed to be practice for the other, but I sorta forgot which, now I like em both.

Unsure if I want to cover 100% of her body with muscle, or keep it minimal with only biceps, maybe some abs.

Here are some exceptionally busty cowgirl figures were just begging for overdeveloped packages:

First and second attempts at a bulging bikini bottom:

The straps helped sell the look of stretched bottoms pulling away from the body to show the cock, instead of my first attempt where the bikini is hugging every inch of cockflesh.

Now I just have to figure out how to make stretched bikinis out of epoxy resin, haven't been successful yet but I'm sure it's possible with the right technique.

Probably one of the best cock shapes I've sculpted so far.

Painting up the first bulging cowgirl, to be continued:

A tribal warrior with a nice blend of muscles and curves:

I subtly made her a futa under her loincloth:

though once you notice it it might not be very subtle:

At this point I'm starting to get a bit better with eyes thanks to experience gained from several blotchy attempts:

Not perfect, but improving:

Better lighting helps too:

Okay LAST one for today, a well-equipped futa mercenary wearing tight leather pants, with a belt strapped around her thigh to keep her cock held down firmly:

Black primer to blend it all together:

Brown leather pants:

Lighter brown for the belts and straps, and metal buckles:

Now a dark brown wash to texture and dirty those pants up:

After the washes have dried, pants and belts are looking much more weathered:

Now for eye details:

Black for pupils:

and white for a shiny spot:

She still needs a few areas painted, about 80% done with this one.

That's all for today folks, thanks for joining me to take a peek into my workshop!

You can follow me on picarto or discord to get notifications when I'm streaming.
