Only a little over two weeks left until Katsucon! For far my lineup is looking to be Marnie from Pokemon Sword & Shield for Friday, Cinderella for a Disney Princess armor group on Saturday morning, Byleth from Fire Emblem for Saturday afternoon, Veronica from Fairly Odd Parents for a party group on Saturday night, and Camie from My Hero Academia for Sunday.
Since they're pretty easy, I'm almost done putting together Camie and Veronica:

SPECIAL POLICE! I ordered a police hat whose shape was the most similar to Camie's, then altered it to look like her Shiketsu High School hat.

For her neck collar, I made it out of a scrap of pizza box that I cut out, fake leather material, foam for the metallic plates, and random metal button things I found in a discount bin at the fabric store.

Veronica's outfit was so easy (thank god), I just bought a cheap white turtleneck, used a pink pleated skirt I already had, made a star hair clip, and attacked a giant pink letter D onto the sweater.

Annnnnd here comes my collages of random cosplay pieces! Below is a photo of my freshly cut up and glued together knee guards, my belt/skirt for Cinderella (I decided to make a more armored-looking skirt instead of the tutu in the photo), the pieces I used for the belt made out of craft foam and foam balls that I cut in half, and then Marnie's jacket pocket accessories.
Here we have the completed knee guards, with metal D-rings attached to the sides to secure ribbon onto, along with my arm guards (my leg guards were made in almost the same way). I added blue ribbon to make a corset-y design through the D-rings, and painted random gems from the dollar store to make the rivets.

Here's my almost finished shoulder armor, that has ribbons attached to criss-cross over my chest area. I just have to finish weathering all of my armor to make it look a bit more realistic.

I'm not a huge fan of sewing, so thankfully I only had to sew together some arm and leg fabric tube things for Cinderella that go under her armor.
I love the design for Cinderella's shield, and it was the first thing I made for her cosplay. I just have to touch-up the design a bit, and I'll be done it. I still have to choose a weapon to make for her, and I'm considering making a sword instead of the spear design from the original cosplay design I'm basing my own cosplay on.

Marnie's dress was super frustrating for me! I managed to find a dress from the thrift store that has the same neckline and overall shape as Marnie's, so I thought it would be easy to alter. I dyed the dress from peachy-orange to a light pink color, but it turned out to be darker than I wanted.
So I proceeded to wash it like 20 times (it took hours, but at least it smells REALLY fresh now lmao). The color is much better, but still a little darker than Marnie's dress is supposed to be. I think it's the lighting, but every photo I took of the dress shows it in a different shade of pink here. 😅
I've never scalloped a hemline before so I followed this tutorial. This took me forever because sewing curved edges is a bitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM2DH6ilS6s
I remade Byleth's elbow armor because somehow the paint on the original ones I made had melted or something and got permanently sticky. I'm planning to alter the corset top to fit me better, enhance the coat designs, and remake the neck piece as well. Thankfully most of the cosplay is still in decent shape.

Lastly, we have this Morpeko plushie that was made for me by one of my best friends (@toastfoxes on Instagram)! The only one I could find online was $440+ which I can't afford, so I got my friend BTS merch in exchange for making the Morpeko LOL. It's so cute and will look perfect with my Marnie cosplay (:
And there we go! Most of my progress so far. I can do more progress posts if you guys are interested! So far I would say I'm about 80% done armored Cinderella, 70% done Marnie, 90% done Camie (just have to finish her wrist cuffs), done all of Veronica, and 80% done Byleth since I have to redo some parts of her. I'm so glad I started over a month in advance as opposed to a few days before the con 😅
