Preview/Update 1/11/22

Hello, all! Happy Belated Halloween! Sorry for the radio-silence during October. My bad. No, this preview is not canon, but it made me laugh so I couldn't help myself. 

So! Yeah. October was not so fun for me. I wrote out a big long paragraph about what's going on, but it just felt like whining, so I'll stick to the main points. Turns out that I'm having some fairly serious negative reactions to my medication, and as I'm going through the public system it takes forever to get an appointment. But! I've been given some new painkillers that should hopefully alleviate those problems, and I'm seeing a specialist next week to hopefully sort some of this shit out (which is not through the public system and is costing me an entire week's wages...). At least I wasn't hospitalized this time. Progress! Yay!

I haven't really got much else to say. I've pretty much just spent October working and sleeping. I've even cut back on the miniature painting. Now, I'm sure some of you are curious about why I'm pissing away so much time painting models instead of writing (especially those of you that are part of the discord community and haven't muted the minis channel), and the answer is simple: because it's a passive activity I can do without thinking. Writing takes effort. It is hard, even when I'm at my best. Well, to do decently, anyway. And these last few months have been far from my best. I'm not fishing for sympathy here; if anything I'm trying to pad out this update lol. But, yeah. I'm actually writing again, and still making the effort. Thanks for sticking with me. 

Now! I believe we need to discuss Toothpaste-chan. Yes, a new entry of our beloved Fire Emblem franchise has been announced, and quite honestly, I'm excited. Aside from the protagonist's hair, the game looks solid. Plus, the chance that I might be able to use my darling Lyn (I haven't forgotten you, Blazing Trinity! I'll be back! I promise!) in another high-def game makes me happy. I haven't had the energy to play Three Hopes either, though, so I need to get my shit together and make that happen, too. I'm a mess. orz

ADVANCE WARS HD WHEN, NINTENDO!? 

I've kinda been playing with the idea of re-uploading those readings I did of Book One of the Self Insert, way back in the first year of the Patreon thing. It's been so damn long, I figure I might even put them up on YouTube or something. It's just an idea I've had, though. I'm shy. Tell me what y'all think of the idea. 

Okay, it's 5am and I gotta work today, so I'm tapping out. Once again, thank you all for sticking with me, and I swear to god I'm trying to get this chapter done before December.
