Preview/Update 30/4/22

Morning, all! Take a gander at the next Self Insert chapter. Hopefully it’s not too lewd for y’all.

So! The plan is thus: finish this Self Insert chapter, then the Self Insert Three Houses thing, then Dark, and then we’ll see. I’m getting back into the swing of things now, slowly but surely, and am actually getting back into writing fairly regularly again. It’s nowhere near where I was before, but it’s a start. We’ve come up with all kinds of crazy ideas, too, which I’m very excited to put into prose.

Good thing, too, because I don’t know how much more abuse my carpel tunnel can handle from all the painting lol.

Is my back any better? In a word, no. I was looking into medical cannabis for a while, but it’s still hella illegal here in Australia, which put a damper on those plans. The physical rehab is designed for people who are either crippled homebodies or geriatrics, so it’s been no help to me, either. Im kinda just throwing up my hands at this point. Im pissed, but I’ve kinda come to terms with it all. Im not sure what I’ll do next, but I’ll figure something out.

I’m actually moving at the end of the month, too! I’m super excited about it. My brother and I are renting a house not far from where we are now, living with our parents, and as much as I love my mom and dad they drive me up the wall. I can’t wait to have my own space again. Unfortunately, my brother and I are both massive bibliophiles; so we have so damn many books to move… my back tenses up in fear just thinking about it.

I’ve also finally started playing Age of Sigmar, instead of just painting the minis. My mate and I have only played a few games so far, but they’ve been really fun and we’re both itching for more games. My entire army at the moment is actually made up of Dark Elves from the final Warhammer Fantasy Battles edition, nearly ten years ago now. It’s really nostalgic to see these old minis on the tabletop, even if they do look a little odd with the round bases instead of square.

I don’t really have much else to add at this point. I’m aiming to start doing more regular updates again during May, hopefully moving back to weekly in June. I don’t have an estimate for when, exactly, my next chapter will be done, but it’ll be before the end of May if it kills me.
