Good evening all! Yes, we’re hitting that point of me being off work where I start forgetting what day it is and I forget to post these updates. Have a Self Insert preview!
The plan now is for me to really buckle down and get the Dark draft done over the next few days while Rice polishes off the Canon draft. Then, I finish the Blazing Trinity chapter, and focus on Elfsekai. Which I believe is already nearly a third done. Stuff is happening! Also, there’s some other stuff in there, too; fun stuff involving elf mercenary siblings and ghost pirates, as well as shoot outs in space. So. Stuff.
So, for those that didn’t watch April’s belated vlog and see how difficult I’m finding my hand exercises, the good news is I’m recovering quite rapidly. My hand is still really quite sensitive, and I still have two weeks of keeping it strapped up to go, but my range of movement has improved greatly and I no longer hiss in pain every time I twitch. Only when I bump it now. Progress!
Okay, hobby talk, those of you not so inclined may wish to skip this paragraph. The Warhammer-fest stream events were last week, and I was honestly somewhat disappointed by the reveals. One of the three highlights for me were a new plastic kit of the main characters of the Gaunt’s Ghosts series of books, but their early versions. Like, book one versions. So I’m hella keen on those. The second highlight was the announcement of the third edition of Age of Sigmar. So, of course, new Stormcast models, but they also teased a new ‘evil’ faction. I’m curious where they go, considering first edition’s enemy was Chaos, then second’s was Death. Logic dictates this one would be a Destruction faction, but the teaser trailer made them seem far more subtle than any of the current Destruction races. Oh, and the boss for Cursed City got a new mini as well, which is this fuck-huge werewolf vampire thing that just looks badass, and I love it. The rest of the vampire models they announced were kinda goofy looking, but Radukar looks awesome. That was really about it, though. All the 40k stuff was pretty meh. New Sisters of Battle were okay, I guess, and while the new space-Orks were definitely cool I’m not about to run out and buy a new faction. They announced a new box for Aeronautica Imperialis, too, but I don’t play that lol. So, not really a lot else to get psyched over.
Okay, enough rambling. I hope y’all have a great week, and thank you for bearing with me as I play catch up. Thanks for your continued support, and Nagaspeed!
