Preview/Update 96

So, SI!Dark may be a few days late. After the shit-show of the last few weeks, I’ve just been kinda burned out. But the chapter’s almost done, and Rice has the next few days off work, so hopefully it won’t be too late. God only knows where Blazing Trinity is concerned, though; I long ago gave up trying to get a chapter of that done in a month. I’ll give it the ol’ college drop out try, though.
I’m kinda on a fantasy kick lately. Thinking about Lord of the Rings and OG Warhammer and all that. It’s kinda helping me get a better idea of the setting for my novel. That’s something I always struggle with, the actual world building. I’m more interested in characters and their stories than I am worlds and their histories, so world building is tough for me. I know people who really got off on creating worlds, though, to the point where they just couldn’t do anything in those worlds. I’m the opposite, I put so much effort into my characters I forget the rest of the world. It drives Rice nuts.
So, not really doing much irl lately. I’ve picked up Warhammer Underworlds, which is proving to be surprisingly fun. My mate and I played our first game, finished and looked up at each other and kind of gave simultaneous sighs, because we both knew how brutal the cost was going to be lol. It’s fun, though; a fast paced mishmash of deck building, miniature gaming and dice rolling. It shouldn’t work, but it does. Only problem is now my brother’s giving me shit for owning ‘Sigmarines’ lol.
