Preview/Update 95

What happened to update 94, I hear you ask? That’s the power of Update 95, we just zoomed on by! SO POWERFUL IT INVADES OTHER BRANDS’ COMMERCIALS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Anyway. Good mornin’, everyone. Hope you’re all doing well. Why so late on the update? Stuff. And some things. The abridged version is my own health drop-kicking me, my mother being in and out of the hospital (she’s fine, y’all), work absolutely kicking my ass, and trying to make Australian Father’s Day work around all that (spoiler warning: we didn’t). So it’s been a shit of a start to September. I guess you could just... wake me up, when September ends...

In the meantime, for those of you who don’t watch the vlogs: SI!Dark is underway, BT chapter whatever is underway, the next part of my 40K warmup thingy is almost done, and I’m pulling the plug on the Supports after this current one but keeping Mercy around for more art. That’s the short version.

Why am I scrapping the Supports? Because I’m tired. The Supports were a hold-over from when I worked part time, and had more time to actually sit down and let my brain wander before I wrote. As I now have a full time job, that wandering time is cut down quite significantly. Hence why I have a ‘warm up’ story; it helps me focus. But, being that my writing time as a whole has been significantly reduced, I felt it was time to focus on the more important stories, as opposed to a short piece that just kinda takes up space. I’m still keeping Mercy around for arts, though. She draws good. Hell, I may even let Patrons start voting on what she draws for me (after the current projects I have her working on are done, anyway). Something to look forward to, at least.

I don’t really think much else has been going on. I’m on several waiting lists to see specialist doctors now. An orthopaedic surgeon among them, because fuck this back pain. I’ve taken a break from playing Blackstone Fortress now that we’ve finished the first ‘quest’. It was hella fun. Lots of replay value, too. I’ve also been brainstorming an idea for a new original project about a nobleman that falls out of power and joins a bandit group, and it’s just a story about hard choices and slow corruption as he goes from seeking justice to good old fashioned revenge. I call it ‘Throne of Lies’. Coming this Summer, to a theatre near you!
