Preview/Update 80

Morning all! How we doing? Have a brief look at the goofy little Three Houses short I’m currently working on.

I’ve got some important news about the new sales tax rules that Patreon are instituting come July, too. Pretty sure they aren’t publicly announcing them until June, though... Basically, it boils down to ‘I’m pretty sure it won’t apply to my tiers’. The way I understand it, digital products are getting taxed in some territories, and physical goods are getting taxed in all territories. Now, technically you are all paying me for ‘early access’ to my writing, not paying for exclusive content (I buy artwork from Xcell and MercyArt for me and choose to share it with y’all (another loophole, yo)), so I believe I can use that as a loophole to get out of having the taxes added to my tiers. We won’t know for sure until pledges are collected on July 1st, but I got a good feeling.

Writing-wise, Blazing Trinity ch10 is drafted, and has been with MinuteRice for a couple days now. He says I’ll get it back today, but we’ll see what happens. But that’s why I chose the preview I did, because the BT chapter’s gonna drop in a few days and it felt redundant to put another preview so close to its release. Instead, I’ve shared a glimpse of that dumb little ‘Bernadetta ends up as Black Eagles House Leader because of a clerical error’ story I talked about a while back. It’s short, so I should have it drafted hopefully today or tomorrow, and it’ll be released as a bonus for y’all. My Lysithea/Awakening story is progressing, but it’s become a much mightier beast than I intended. I’m liking what I’ve got so far (including a catfight between Lys and Tharja XD) but it’s actually gonna end up being a full 10k word thing rather than a short one. I’ll get ‘er done, though! It’s just... kinda gotten away from me again. So I don’t know when it’ll be done. Also, Self Insert Book 3 next month! Hype!

It’s also suddenly gotten goddamned cold here. It’s 14 degrees Celsius right now (do your own math, Imperial system plebs!), which is really goddamned cold for the tropics. Aside from that, not much else is new. More painting minis, nothing new there. My mate and I did start in on a campaign of Blackstone Fortress, a dungeon crawler board game based in the Warhammer 40k universe, and it’s actually really fun. Fortunately, it’s been set up so you can put it down and pick it back up really easily. More minis for me to paint, though. orz
