Belated Update/Preview 53

Wellp, I’m a dumbass. I am so sorry I forgot to post this on Sunday. I’ve been sick with some lovely virus the last couple days, so I’ve been kinda in and out of it. I haven’t forgotten you all! Have a preview of tomorrow’s SI!Dark chapter.

Self Insert November (doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as ‘No Nut November’, does it?) is well under way. Rice is almost done editing Dark ch7, and can you believe we’re already up to chapter seven!? Kinda snuck up on me. Canon Self Insert is shaping up nicely, but this chapter... it’s a bitch. A lot has to happen, very quickly, and I can’t screw this one up. So far so good, though! Fingers crossed I get it done by the end of the month.

As I said before, I’ve been sick for the last couple days, and I’m still coming down from my fever. I actually had to... take a day off work! (Shock horror). Seriously, though, the worst of its behind me. That’s the problem of combining an unsanitary job like janitor and a nocturnal lifestyle which can occasionally weaken your immune system. 3/10, would not recommend.

So, not naming any names, but someone (you know who you are, you rat-bastard) got me hooked on Star Wars again. And, I’m gonna be real, I’m like a junkie relapsing. All of a sudden I remember all the awesome comics, the amazing novels (Shatterpoint by Mathew Stover is still one of my favorite novels of all damn time), and worst of all, the merch I can afford now I have a full time job. I’m making a concentrated effort to revisit the Legends post-Episode VI canon, and I’m starting with the novel Allegiances because Mara Jade is still my favorite Star Wars character. To quote The Iron Bull: “Redheads. Unf.” Don’t worry, though, this isn’t cutting into my writing time. I’m a professional after all (ha!).
