Update/Preview 42

Here we are, another week down! Yay! This is a brief preview of the introductory scene to Ninian and Nils in the latest Blazing Trinity draft, which is sitting pretty on about 60% done.

So, I mentioned this on Discord, but I’m tired. Running this Patreon and creating content for y’all over the last year has been fun and incredibly rewarding, but it’s also the equivalent of a second full time job. I’ve stopped exercising, I’ve stopped socialising, and the self-imposed stress is starting to seriously affect my mental health. I was seriously debating simply closing the Patreon last week, but I decided against it. Instead, I’ll be making one little change: monthly ‘major updates’ are no more. Chapters will happen when they happen; I’d rather take a 90s-era Blizzard approach and get them done right, rather than on time. I will still be aiming for one major update a month (and most months I won’t have trouble hitting that mark), but this takes a lot of pressure off me and allows for a more flexible approach that I think is going to benefit my work in the long run. SI!Dark and the Supports and most everything else will remain unaffected, because those are super easy. I know this is probably coming out of nowhere for a lot of you (it scared the shit out of XcelltasticX lol), but it’s been weighing on me for a while. I try to put up a positive, energetic persona to make this as fun and uplifting for all of you as I can, but Benny needs a break. So yeah, let me know how you feel about this change in the comments or whatever.

So, I took some much needed me-time and went to a concert the other day! It was awesome. I’ve also started working out again, because I wholeheartedly believe in ‘healthy body, healthy mind’. It’s... not as awesome. I really let myself go in the last few months and now I’m paying for it.

So, that’s really it for this week. I’ll be talking more about the reasons for the scheduling change in the vlog, as well as a video review of sorts for Three Houses. Also, I’ll probably gush a little about the whole one year anniversary thing earlier this month I totally forgot about. So look forward to that tomorrow or the day after.
