Masaki the Devourer - Page 72

These girls got so big, I barely have room to write text anymore!

Seriously though, this page has a lot of dialogue. I'm sorry if it gets kind of convoluted. If it's too confusing or weirdly written please let me know so I can do better. It all makes sense in my head, but it's hard to put it into words sometimes.

Masaki will always be a little sweetie, but Rinari has so much room for character development, and she is so fun to draw. Especially now that she is an enormous fatty. Poor Masaki as immobile and bloated as she is, she still has to be the hero somehow. But Rinari is going to be unpredictable.

I’m loving this page so much! Especially with Rinari finally getting some more introspection into her character beyond the whole “kill you” arrogant above it all eater. I like how to her it’s simply all business and “nothing personal” attitude with all the planets she and her sisters no doubt conquered. I like that it’s just a job to her and I am excited to see whether she will soften(pun intended) her stance. Perhaps maybe open up more.

Thank you! the thing I hate most is covering up some of the art with words. I've been thinking of releasing high res versions of the pages with no words later on. I do like there to be some reading for people to sink their teeth into or a lot going on in the story. I know when it's one page released at a time, it's kind of frustrating when you wait for a page, and then almost nothing happens.

Sure this page seems a bit cramped, but honestly I don't mind that much, there's still balance between the drawings and the texts and I have nothing against pages with heavy dialogues here and there. I'm not a native English speaker so I'm maybe not the best judge on this, but all you wrote doesn't sound too convoluted for me. Also interesting how Rinari changes her strategy here. Idk how honest she is though. On the one hand, selfish people usually think everyone is as selfish as them, so her proposition might be genuine. On the other hand, she doesn't seem too worried about her capabilities to conquer earth, so I'm unsure why she feels the need to get Masaki on her side. It's not like Masaki has been on Earth long enough to be a useful asset, like she seems to know barely anything more than Rinari does about humans and their societies. As always I'm curious to see what will happen next!
