Mini Comic - Mini Comics

but i expected as much. making a comic about "fitting all the (main) characters into a comic" was bound to be a laborious task, but i'm glad i could pull it off!
it was a good chance to draw all the toons some more, with some variety in expressions, so if anything, it was a good exercise!
this might be the last Swapstick Together content for this year, i have a bit of an idea for a potential third mini comic, but, not sure if i'll get around to it this year. we'll see!
i actually SAVED some of the rejected sketches for some of the panels, so i thought it'd be a nice little behind the scenes fun to share with you all!
the "script" originally called for more of a dispute between Stevie and Magna, where she'd argue with him over "not being the ones who draw the comics" way earlier in Panel 2, before i made it part of the punchline. but i wanted to have more and more characters showing up with each panel, so that by the last one, everyone was present, and with only 4 panels, it can be quite tricky!
Especially when it came to FITTING them all in! those first two scrapped panels have Magna pushing Leo away to rearrange the composition of the panel, but again, seeing how that was already the second panel, i felt it needed to make room for other characters! i even tried having Jenny come in (3rd scrapped panel) and make room by squeezing everyone against the sides of the panel, buuut, that idea didn't go too far.
those final scrapped doodles are just other variants of stuff we got. i felt kinda bad drawing such a beat up Jenny, i know they're all cartoons so she's totally fine, but she's just such a sweetheart, i didn't have the heart!
