2021-08-16 23:22:01 +0000 UTCThe clothing is pretty much whatever I want to draw 😅 Song (and people he associates with) definitely shows a bit more skin, but I think that’s a personal thing that lets me as the artist play more than the period allows. There’s no difference between the uniforms men and women wear (which mostly comes from me being irritated by the short skirts female officers wear in FMA lol) just one unisex outfit! Basically it’s fantasy! And I’m having fun drawing from the Regency without adhering too strictly to it!

As far as I can recall we’ve seen both male and female characters wearing the menswear-based styles with coats and trousers. Are there versions based on traditionally feminine clothing (ie dresses since I believe you said we’re in the 1820s) as well for those that prefer it? There’s so much amazing menswear-inspired womenswear in this period! Also do infernals have their own fashion style? Some of your earlier Song illustrations showed him in period dresses but then when Song was out with those two awful infernals in For Profit they all seemed to be wearing similar styles that don’t follow human trends for the era. Sorry, I’m a fashion historian so these are the things I obsess over! 😅😅 Would love to know more about the clothing practices of this world! Slash have a lengthy discussion about gendering in clothing considering this is a world without heteronormativity!

It's lovely to see Thomas and Etty, but doesn't Etty know that that blond guy is Song's ex? Also, those white clothes - are those the uniform of celestial scholars? Didn't Etty say earlier that she wasn't that anymore? I wonder if Song is hiding somewhere, or waiting backstage or something, so he can watch Mansa without being seen by the audience?
