Back in Business

Hi guys,

first of all I would like say sorry that I've ghosted my Patreon site so suddenly, but I guess you all understood that I've chosen to sacrifice one year to take care of my wife and fully focus on her rehabilitation program instead of working on the game.

First I would like to provide you with summary regarding the game development:

- from August 2021 I will continue with development of the game Babysitters,

- in the end of August I plan to release update which should be way longer than usual monthly update,

- August billing cycle (i.e. 1 August 2021) will be still paused and first billing will come on 1st September 2021,

- my previous writer Sindel changed her main job which is more time consuming than previous one, so she had to quit as writer, I found new female writer who is young but quite experienced and her nickname is Lily,

For those who are interested in more personal details... summary regarding my wife situation:

After one year of her recovery journey and especially last several months of various rehabilitations which we attended 3-4 times week (hyperbaric chambers, physiotherapy, reflexology, acupuncture, speech therapy exercises etc.) and countless hours spent with various exercises at home and in the pool... we made some slight and some significant improvements in various areas, but we didn't reach any of the four milestones we were hoping for (i.e. walking, talking, eating or getting rid of diapers).

She recognizes whole family and friends, she is very aware of her surroundings, she recognizes numbers and letters, she understands spoken word to the extent that she performs most of the simple commands and answering some simple questions yes/no. She even jabbered few words like "mother" "yes "no". She can drive slowly electric wheelchair using her left hand and so on, but most of her cognitive capabilities are on the level of a small child.

I'm very happy for any progress which helps her to enjoy life more or it makes taking care of her easier, but honestly I consider my wife's personality dead. And now I often take her more as my disabled kid than a wife, obviously I don't tell her that, but that's how is it.

Anyway for time being I will stay here, help her parents as I can (especially finishing administration regarding guardianship, disability benefits etc.) and see what future brings. However, now I focus on game development and that will be my priority. I've also hired new young nurse/babysitter who should take care of her during week long-term. She happens to be pretty hot... so maybe my next game will be called "wife's babysitter".

I know I know... little bit black rough humor, but believe me that's what kept me afloat... :D
