13/02: *Hong Kong Post stated that acceptance of postal items destined to the US has been resumed on Feb 11! >:3
-
This morning, I've received a notice from our local post office stating that temporary suspension of postal service to the US from Hong Kong has taken effect immediately starting today :'3
Above screenshots are from the USPS website and the Hong Kong Post website respectively addressing the matter.
Since our monthly postcards are being sent as international flat mails, I assume that they wouldn't be affected as stated in the notice from USPS, as our mails should also fall into the 'documents' category mentioned in the notice from Hong Kong Post.
In order to make sure if my assumptions are correct, I will head to the post office next week and confirm with the staff with a sample of our mails before sending them out. I will let you guys know if there will be any delays for mails heading to the US.
Postcards to other countries will be sent out as usual once I've finished preparing them for mail this weekend.
I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you so much for your patience! 🙇🏻♂️❤️
