I know many will not like what I had to do, but unfortunately the people who run this platform don't give a shit about what those of us who use it go through. Patre0n is not free, they discount a part of our earnings. So does PayPal.
A few weeks ago I discovered that my works have been leaked. Mine and those of many other artists. I won't say where. I can tell you that the people of this platform are aware, many of us contact them and they basically send us to DMCA which is putting all our personal information at risk with unscrupulous people.
I cried seas...I felt totally devastated, robbed, abused. Right now I have 59 patrons and there are 81 people viewing my old content for free. It should have 140 patr0ns.
There are people who only need their cell phone to draw, or their tablet and some pirated software. It's not my case. I pay for the full license for the Adobe bundle, which includes softwares that I don't even use but they don't sell me the ones I need separately. I've paid for softwares that I use such as winrar, paint tool sai, Clip Studio Paint (which I do not use either because it is very complicated for me but I already paid for it) and several others that I need, I pay for their licenses because it is what corresponds I can't use software without paying, it's not correct.
I also pay for study programs. Always with the sole purpose of delivering better illustrations. By the way, Saotome Nanda as "person who works from her home but still a business" pays taxes every year. Everything I earn in a year pays her taxes and I makes me happy because I'm grateful for the opportunity I've had in this country.
At the end of the day what hurts me the most is not that they don't support me, but the mentality of being a RAT. I despise those people, it was ONE person who gave them access to my stuff. All the platforms are leaked.
A few days ago I deleted all my old jobs posted here and I'll do it month by month. You will only have access to the month we are in and the previous month until the middle of the month.
I'm sorry to have to bore you with all this shit and i know i'm crying my ass off AGAIN ... but I've always been and always will be very protective of what I do ~ my beloved illustrations~
For now the conditions will remain the same, just hoping not to have to send the files by mail because it would be very exhausting for you guys... and me.
Thanks to those who have been with me from the beginning and to those who have joined and stayed, who are always supporting me and making all of this worthwhile 😊❤️ As I said before, you are my real motivation to continue. It's not my hobby, it's a full-time job doing illustrations and I do it as a job with all that it implies, paying taxes and investing for better results.
I apologize for this "crying" but it is necessary.

Del momento que yo soy la que CREA una ilustración desde cero, algo que no existe, es mio. Que los personajes los creó otra persona lo se yo y todos, por eso mismo siempre lo pongo en los creditos y la gente que me apoya esta aqui porque YO tengo la capacidad de crear imagenes que los artistas originales no hicieron o/no crearan para ellos. Asi mismo las comisiones, la gente puede pagar para ver algo que los creadores/autores originales no van a hacer ni aunque se los pidan de rodillas. La gente gusta del trabajo de los fanarts que llenan vacios, cumplen deseos o sueños. Imaginate darme 10 dolares que para mi no es nada y querer bajar mas de 200 archivos que tenia. 10 dolares puede ser harto para ti pero para mi no, porque los precios y la cantidad que inverti en equipo este año no paga nada. Siempre comentan eso de LUCRAR. Me imagino que tu ni nadie tiene la audacia de ir a insinuar esas cosas a artistas mas grandes pero seguro que crees que porque soy chilena me puedes venir a webiar. Como ya tomaste 10 archivos, conformate con eso. Eres un atrevido de mierda.

2022-12-06 19:15:18 +0000 UTCHola Nanda, ayer me subscribi a tu Patreon y la verdad es que es una lastima está noticia que acabo de leer, pague 10 dólares y solo pude descargar como 10 de tus dibujos.Ojala reviertas tu medida, es entendible que molesta que alguien haya filtrado tus ilustraciones, pero yo creo que era algo que difícilmente se podía evitar, de hecho yo llegue a patreon por sitios donde se filtra material de muchos artistas y de no ser por esos sitios nunca uniera sabido quiénes dibujaban esas ilustraciones que me gustan, además hay una situación un poco ambigua cuando te refieres a tus creaciones, ya que en parte son tuyas porque tú dibujas pero esos personajes fueron creados por otras personas que me imagino no te autorizaron para que tú lucres con sus creaciones, aunque es obvio que la mayoría de esos artistas están al tanto de que muchos hacen fan arts de sus creaciones y eso mismo los sigue haciendo más populares a ellos. Esto es una especie de vacío legal. Aparte de esta pequeña crítica, quiero felicitarte porque eres una gran dibujante y me gusta mucho tu estilo, keep up the good work, saludos desde Chile.

Imagine the amount of people in 4 years, entering x 5, 7, 8, 10 usd ONCE and taking years of work then removing my marks, and making sales with my work after all my investment. I don't care what the other artists do or how they manage their patreon. If they feel that 1, 2, 3 usd is good for them, good. It's just unfair for me, the person behind the images. That's the reason why I removed the files. I'm not talking of gaining more patrons~ i understand that people don't want to support others or me, that's fine, but i will protect my stuff fiercely. This is a community. I give something you can't find anywhere <-> people is free to support.

That's why I was redirecting people to your twitter as much as I could earlier this year. That only works for so much though and a drastic change on your end could be the deciding factor on you gaining more patrons or not. I'm not trying to pick on you btw, just throwing in my experience of helping a liquor store grow and eventually topple two other smaller competing stores through fair prices and more influence

I also didn't mind doing the $30 tier, only because I knew it supported you a bit more and not because of the poster bonuses.

The tier list is off-putting with each tier having different content based on series rather than having increasingly better resolution. In no case do you offer HD content without the customer jumping through hoops to get to it. And now you're basically punishing your paying customers for something that the vast majority of them didn't do. Suggestion one: Consolidate your content into tiers based on resolution, with maybe a $4 NSFW SD pack, an $8 HD pack, and a $10 PSD/process video pack. Use your Patreon feed for SFW SD images to preview the upcoming packs. Suggestion two: send out packs each month via dropbox, with HD and PSD tier members getting a message containing the link to their pack. You should be able to set the dropboxes to expire after a certain date. Suggestion three: This allows you to monetize prior months' packs on a site like Gumroad. Suggestion four: Piracy exists and there's not really anything to be done about it, so it's not really worth worrying about. Far more successful artists on Patreon have their stuff pirated constantly. It doesn't stop them from succeeding or growing their brands.

I absolutely hate the kind of people who use these Patreon stealing sites, though the feckless pieces of shit who do the actual theft of the art are the WORST scum. I'm not really sure why you wouldn't DMCA their asses, though. This is exactly what DMCA takedowns are for.
