Overall, I love the flavor and aesthetic, but my goodness is it overpowered. Analyzing this using Detect Balance - <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vq1kz6PRAbw5LHy6amH-bNb4OuB8DBXL1RsZROt03Sc/htmlview" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vq1kz6PRAbw5LHy6amH-bNb4OuB8DBXL1RsZROt03Sc/htmlview</a># ASI +4 = 14 (Normally would be 16, but -2 because few builds need all of Int, Wis, and Cha) Resistance to Psychic = 2 Inner Light (Basically the Light Cantrip, but a bit more restricting) = 1 (2 for a cantrip, -1 for the fact that when you turn it off, it takes a full action and you can't turn it back on for 10 minutes) Living Construct = 6 (2 for immunity to disease, 4 for not needing to breathe, 1 for not needing to eat, 3 for not needing to sleep) Shard Swarm = 10 (~6 for the AoE damage/blind that is comparable to Dragonborn's Breath Weapon, only not more because of the limited radius, ~4 for the short rest recharge teleport) Telepathy = 10 (30 ft telepathy with a language barrier, or can only communicate with creatures that share a language, is a 6, so a 120 ft range without a true language barrier must be significantly better) Total = 43 Since homebrew races are primarily supposed to have a score of 24-27, and never go above 30, there's a lot to cut out here. Here are my suggestions for bringing this a bit more into balance: ASI - Make Int only a +1 saves you 4 (because the lack of synergy reduction remains, but you just get rid of some raw power) Shard Swarm - Either get rid of the damage and blind, leaving only the teleport (saves you 6 points), or get rid of the blind and teleport, leaving only the damage (saves you ~6 points, as well). Either way, the blind is most of what is pushing this over the top. Telepathy - Reduce it to 30 ft telepathy with the language barrier, saving you 4 points If you take all of these suggestions, the score would go down to 29, which is still quite strong, but within the balanced parameters. It's a really sweet race, though!
