The switch to monthly billing: Update
Added 2024-10-17 14:33:45 +0000 UTCAll patrons will have gotten an auto-generated e-mail about my tier prices tripling. For newcomers unaware, I used to charge per chapter, and release (90% of the time) 3 chapters a month. But due to some weird issues with Apple, Patreon had to get rid of the per-release billing method, so now all creators have to switch to per-monthly billing.
My new tier prices should come into effect for existing patrons in 31 days.
As for Patreon's mistake and not having this switch-over occur correctly, Patreon assures me they'll compensate me for the lost income, both last month's and this month's. I THINK this means all current patrons get another month paying only 1/3 of the expected bill, but don't quote me on that.
Patreon hasn't compensated me yet, but they say they plan to, and if they do, I'll be quite impressed by their willingness to fix their error.
New tier prices are $3/$6/$9/$30.
