Officially, Chan said on Bubble that the song is about us, STAYs, but we're all convinced that's a lie because the lyrics make more sense of it was about Berry. The music video was made just a couple months ago on SKZ's vacation. Chan had gone home to Australia for a week and that's where it was shot. 😊

I want it to be about Berry because…you know Chris said that she was nine and that breed their average lifespan is only 10 to 15 years so…Berry is getting old and since Chris is gone from Australia so much…you know something could happen? And honestly the odds are that he won’t be there. So I really think this is Chris immortalizing is beloved dog while he can. And I’m fine with that. The video clip was filmed in Sydney when he was over here last month. I recognised all of the places in the clip as we are in Sydney every 2nd weekend at K-pop events lol! Some lines seem to be referring to stay too: “call out your name, you do the same”-(fan interactions), “hug you all day”-(referencing the way he used to end his weekly lives with a big hug). If you read his most recent interview in Nylon and his bbl messages he has also been talking about wanting time with stay and with his members to go on forever. I think the combination of Berry getting older and stray kids coming closer and closer to a contract renewal might have made the idea of eternity so important to him recently! So I think yea it’s a song inspired by both, intended to convey an emotion of comfort support and love… wanting it to last for as long as it can go. He says it’s for stay, but it doesn’t have to fully be about either only. It’s just a beautiful love song inspired by the cutest dog and his experiences! What’s more important is how it makes you feel and not what exactly it’s about.

I love that in the video he is just Chris: an Aussie with curly hair and make up free, dressed down casually. I think it's telling that he really can't unplug from music because on his long vacation he writes a beautiful song, composes it, records it, shoots a music video, and releases it. I love this man for his dedication.

I think this was the longest vacation the group has taken; so they were all able to hopefully take their time and enjoy it (and probably why it has that "retired" feeling).
