General Update! (8/3/2021)

Hello everyone! First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who has stuck with me through everything. Starting in halfway through 2020, this has been a tumultuous year. I know I've let a lot of people down, including myself. However, this has been a long journey, and it isn't even close to over. I'm still actively pushing to get work done on both the art and gamedev sides of my career, and I'm going to show what I'm capable of.

Firstly, for art.

Would you all be interested if I re-added the commission tier? $30/month nets you 1 free fully shaded commission, alongside all the typical Patreon benefits. I actively need more work nowadays and I'm better prepared to handle the load now, so depending on feedback, I'll be reimplementing it soon.

Secondly, gamedev.

I know some people have expressed disappointment in the shift away from fetish content in Gijinka World (previously known as Chublands). This is a call I had to make however, as the game needs to appeal to a wider audience to accomplish what I want with it. However, I get your disappointment.

With development starting up again this month, I'll be reimplementing mechanics such as weight affecting your physics and randomized NPC weight to retain some of the appeal from the original pitch. I hope features like this will make things more well-rounded. *badum tss~*

On the topic of Gijinka World's development- I know I've been pretty inconsistent on the state of the game. This has been due to some unfortunate life events related to my living situation and family. I am bound and determined to get back on track with the project, and it kills me to ask you to wait a while longer before I have something tangible to show. But trust me; Gijinka has never been cancelled, nor will it ever be cancelled, god willing. You will see this game released.

I've been evaluating my options when it comes to streamlining development. One thing I'm considering is going the Kickstarter route. Releasing one of the first levels in the game (likely Cozicat Suites as it's currently the furthest along) and asking for backers to support us to see it finished. This isn't something I inherently want to do, purely due to the sheer amount of responsibility handling that kind of project, but with my financial situation it might be one of the only viable ways to see it done.

In the meantime, I'll be actively working to communicate more and always have a dialogue open with whoever wants to inquire about the project. Like I said, this is just the beginning of this journey, and I look forward to seeing where it leads. See you there.
