Updates and Upcoming Projects

Hello everyone! I'm back!

Sorry for the dearth of content the last couple weeks. Turns out, helping my mom pack all her things and drive across the country left me very little opportunity to work on content and give you all anything interesting to say. Who could have guessed.

Anyway, I'm back home again, working full-time on Games as Lit. content, so hopefully that should be the only notable gap in content for a good while. In fact, I've already finished the first pass at a script about Fatal Frame, and will be posting it soon for $10+ patrons to peruse!

There's some other fun stuff in the works, too. I'm currently playing through The House in Fata Morgana for an upcoming analysis, and soon after will prioritize the remaining two Patreon-sponsored analyses I have in the wings. Tremendous thanks to the patrons who requested them, for both your patronage and your patience. Once I've gotten those videos done, I'll be opening up commissions: one-time payments for analyses of any game you choose. As I've said before, these will inevitably be more expensive than I'd like them to be, but they will be available for any who want them.

In the meantime, I'll soon be filming the video I've had written for a while about Hildibrand Manderville, and how Final Fantasy XIV plays on its animation engine for slapstick comedy. I'll also soon be playing Left Behind: Eternal Forces for a video about the ways evangelical thought often differs from how it looks to everyone else, and how poor messaging through gameplay can completely derail even the best of intentions.

Thanks again for all your support! I hope for this Fatal Frame analysis to be up by (or perhaps even on) Halloween, then it'll be back to our regularly-scheduled programming.

Yeah, that was me. That reminds me: You're playing the console version (Dream of the Revenants), right? I believe there's some content in the Steam version that was cut from the console version, namely the postgame Backstage stuff. It's extra 4th-wall-breaking fluff that's not vital to the story, but I thought I'd let you know.

Didn't you buy it for me ages ago to review? Someone did, guess I could be forgetting who. But yeah, it was a double whammy of a review purchase and a Patreon request haha.

I'm glad you went in completely blind! Part of the fun of this VN is figuring out the structure of its story. Also, sorry if I'm being dense, but what do mean by "getting credit for that"?

Oh right, you should also be getting credit for that!! I'm on the second story right now, nearing the end of it I think. I hadn't realized it seems to be sort of a collection of short stories, so I'm adjusting to that still haha. I'd like to see more of the characters from the first one, but I'm curious to see how things will develop from here.

That Left Behind: Eternal Forces video sounds really interesting! Also, if you don't mind me asking, how far into the House in Fata Morgana are you?

Very unique games

That's the idea! Plus I've wanted to talk about Fatal Frame for AGES.

I'm happy for you plus fatal frame very appropriate for Halloween
