How Geopolitically Realistic is Fallout's Great War?

And it got me thinking, well, just how realistic is Fallout anyway? Humans don’t turn into ghouls when exposed to too much radiation and nuclear bombs tend to be a bit more destructive than portrayed… sure. But what about the geopolitics and history of the Fallout universe? In this video, we’re going to explore the geopolitics of the Great War and see whether or not such a war is possible in our own timeline!
Now, we won’t be able to cover every aspect of Sino-American politics (I won’t be getting into trade relations, for example), but what we can do is look at Fallout’s timeline of the Great War, and do a play-by-play, to see if we’ll also be crawling out through the falling out before long!
