Chapter 173: The Arrival of an Angel

"Ahhhh!!!"

As the audience witnessed all robotic soldiers losing control and attacking Iron Man, they immediately screamed in fear.

"Come out and fight me!"

Realizing he was the target, Tony quickly flew out of the exhibition hall.

The War Machine and the airborne robots under control took off after him, firing their machine guns relentlessly. Meanwhile, the remaining ground and naval robots raised their anti-aircraft guns and began moving out of the hall to surround Tony in a coordinated attack from the ground and air.

At this critical moment, George lifted his Disillusionment Charm, stepping into the robots' path.

"I think you'd better stay right here!"

"Seeking death!"

Ivan Vanko, remotely controlling the War Machine and the robot soldiers, saw George blocking their path on his monitor. His face twisted with malice as he redirected the ground and air robots to target George.

However, the next second, all the ground and naval robots on his system turned red, indicating lost connections, and their footage disappeared from the screen.

"What's going on?"

Ivan's expression turned incredulous. Could his system have been hacked?

Even Iron Man couldn't instantly disable so many ground and naval robots unless he used a powerful missile to obliterate the entire hall—or if someone had hacked into his system and disrupted his control.

The first scenario was impossible; his airborne robots were still chasing Tony, and the hall remained untouched. The second scenario seemed equally implausible. With his technical prowess, Ivan couldn't believe anyone could breach his system, let alone selectively target only some of his robots while leaving the airborne ones and War Machine functional.

Unable to figure it out, Ivan dismissed the thought, focusing instead on his main goal: avenging Tony. He concentrated on controlling the airborne robots and War Machine to pursue him.

Back in the exhibition hall, George stood before the incapacitated robots, which had all slumped motionless.

It turned out that just as the robots were about to attack him, George had cast a Freezing Charm, freezing all the robots in place.

The Freezing Charm not only immobilized small creatures within its range but also disrupted Muggle technology, effectively disabling the robots.

George had thoroughly researched this spell.

Despite its name, the Freezing Charm wasn't about conventional freezing with cold; instead, it involved principles akin to time magic, much like the Repairing Charm.

In the Harry Potter universe, wizards had delved deeply into time-related magic. For instance, the Hour-Reversal Charm could turn back time, and the Time-Turner, crafted using the charm, allowed individuals to travel to the past.

The Repairing Charm and Freezing Charm were minor extensions of time magic.

"Better destroy these things directly," George muttered.

He raised his hand and pointed at the frozen robots. Fiendfyre erupted, and under its intense heat, the robots melted into pools of molten metal.

George remembered that Ivan Vanko had installed bombs in these robots. Even if he disassembled them, they would explode once the Freezing Charm wore off. By melting them into molten metal, he ensured absolute safety.

"George!"

Pepper Potts rushed over from the audience area. She had recognized George.

"What's going on?"

"Tony asked me to help. He'll explain everything to you later."

George didn't elaborate. Instead, he spread his white wings and took off, flying toward the embattled Tony.

The remaining spectators, still in the hall, gasped as they watched George's snowy wings unfold and lift him into the air.

"An angel? I think I just saw an angel! The angel saved us!"

Above the exhibition hall, Tony, utilizing his superior flight skills and advanced weapons, had destroyed half of the airborne robots. However, the remaining ones, along with the War Machine, were forcing him to dodge and weave frantically.

"Tony, fly this way!"

George, having ascended, called out to Tony using an Amplifying Charm.

Realizing George must have handled the robots below, Tony made a sharp 180-degree turn midair and flew toward him.

Under Ivan Vanko's control, the War Machine and airborne robots immediately gave chase.

As soon as they entered George's magnetic control field, he raised his right hand slightly.

"Stop!"

The magnetic field surged with power, forcing the War Machine and all robots to freeze midair.

George's magnetic control could only exert a force of a thousand pounds, so if the robots pushed their engines to the limit, they could break free. But George only needed a moment of stillness.

"Light Rain!"

A sacred light magic array appeared above George's head, casting a radiant glow that made him look like a true angel. Countless beams of light shot from the array, curving through the air and striking the robots.

The metal soldiers, as sturdy as they seemed, were shredded by the beams like paper, exploding midair and falling in pieces.

The citizens outside the exhibition hall looked up in awe at the spectacle in the sky.

"Too flashy," Tony muttered, watching George obliterate the airborne robots in seconds. "Guess I'll need to redesign my electromagnetic pulse cannon to spread like that—it's cooler."

Now, only the War Machine remained, with Rhodey still inside. George had refrained from attacking it for this reason.

Inside the War Machine, Rhodey was as stunned as Ivan Vanko, who was remotely controlling it.

Ivan finally realized how his ground and naval robots had been neutralized.

"How can such a person exist in this world?"

"Hold him still; I need to fix his system," Tony called out to George as he flew toward the War Machine.

The War Machine attempted to flee but found itself immobilized.

George had redirected all his magnetic control power onto the War Machine, increasing the binding force.

The War Machine's rear gun tried to fire, but George casually cast a Transfiguration Spell.

"Flavido!"

The gun transformed into a large baguette.

Tony, now next to the War Machine, pried open a small panel on its back and inserted his finger into the system.
