Chapter 133: The Book of Morgana

"Reveal Direction—Balthazar!"

After calming himself, George began casting a tracking spell to determine if Balthazar and Horvath were still sealed. He needed to confirm whether the storyline had begun to decide his next steps.

"No luck... the tracking magic failed?"

After completing the spell, George found that the golden tracking marker did not appear. Clearly, Balthazar was currently in an untraceable state.

"Reveal Direction—Horvath!"

He tried again, casting the tracking spell for Horvath, but the result was the same: failure.

"It seems they're both still sealed."

If neither could be tracked, it was highly likely that the sealing magic was blocking the tracking spell.

"Well, that's fine. This gives me more room to maneuver."

George turned to the bald middle-aged man and waved his hand:
"Obliviate!"

Using the memory-erasing spell, George wiped the man's memory. After some thought, he cast another spell directly on the man's head.

"Rapid Hair Growth!"

Under the effect of the spell, the bald man's head quickly sprouted a full, thick mane of hair.

"That'll be my payment for his trouble," George murmured.

Releasing the Imperius Curse on the man, George walked out of the living room and onto the balcony. Unfurling his wings, he flew off into the night.

Once George had left, the bald man slowly regained his senses.

"Huh? Why am I in the bedroom?"

He stared at the open computer in front of him, bewildered. He distinctly remembered enjoying red wine in the living room.

"Maybe I was too tired... Whatever, I need a shower and some sleep. Big project tomorrow."

He shut the computer and headed to the bathroom. But as soon as he saw his reflection in the mirror, he froze in place.

"I-I grew hair!?"

The man stared in disbelief at his head, now crowned with luscious locks. After years of failed treatments, today he'd miraculously regrown his hair. It was nothing short of a medical miracle.

Flying through the air, George cast another tracking spell.

"Reveal Direction—Drake Stone!"

This time, the tracking spell succeeded. A golden arrow materialized in front of him.

Since Balthazar and Horvath were still sealed, George decided to first locate Drake.

Drake was the current-generation heir of the Morgana faction. When he was fifteen, his master had sought out Balthazar to rescue Morgana but was killed, leaving Drake to fend for himself.

However, over the years, Drake had not diligently studied magic. Instead, he used the little magic he'd learned to become a famous magician, indulging in a life of luxury and decadence.

George sought him for two reasons: the magic ring in his possession and the Book of Morgana.

In this world, casting magic required a medium, and without one, it was difficult to use spells. If George could acquire Drake's magic ring, it might serve as a substitute for a wand.

As for the Book of Morgana, it contained all the magic of the Morgana faction. George wasn't about to let that slip through his grasp.

Could George defeat Drake? It wasn't much of a concern. Despite lacking a wand and relying on hand gestures, George figured dealing with a half-baked magician like Drake wouldn't be too challenging.

And he certainly wasn't foolish enough to engage in a direct magical duel.

Following the golden arrow, George soon located the skyscraper where Drake lived.

Drake's penthouse occupied the entire top floor. The lights were still on, suggesting Drake hadn't gone to bed yet.

Peering through the glass, George saw Drake partying with six model-esque women.

"I'll wait a bit longer," George decided.

To ensure his success, George chose not to barge in recklessly. Like a seasoned predator, he perched quietly on the roof, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

At 3:00 a.m., the lights in Drake's penthouse finally went out.

George hovered outside the glass, observing the scattered clothing and empty space inside. Carefully, he used a spell to unlock the window and slipped inside.

He crept to the bedroom door and listened to the sounds of a one-against-six battle inside. Preparing his spell, George waited for the precise moment.

The instant he heard a climactic shout, signaling Drake's utmost relaxation, George charged through the door and unleashed a full-body binding spell.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

Simultaneously, he activated his superpower. Every metallic object in the room surged toward Drake, including the magic ring on his finger, which was forcibly stripped away.

"Giant Form!"

As a precaution, George transformed into a massive panda, his head nearly grazing the ceiling.

His caution, however, was unnecessary.

Drake, completely defenseless after his release, was instantly struck by the full-body binding spell and petrified. The magic ring was swiftly claimed by George's powers.

The process was laughably easy.

After all, Drake was a third-rate magician who spent his days indulging in vice, leaving little time to study magic.

Moreover, living in a peaceful environment, he likely lacked any real combat experience. A seasoned magician might have sensed George's approach long before he entered.

"Ahhh! A giant panda!!!"

The six naked models on the bed screamed at the sight of the colossal panda bursting into the room. Moments later, they fainted from shock.

"What a waste of all my preparations," George muttered.

Returning to his normal size, he slipped the metal magic ring onto his paw. Testing its power, he cast a spell on one of the unconscious women.

"Stupefy!"

A blue beam of magic shot out instantly. The power and speed of the spell felt superior to his wand in the Harry Potter world, though not quite as potent as the wands from Fairy Tail.

He systematically cast stunning and memory-erasing spells on the remaining five models before dragging the bound Drake to the living room.

Without lifting the binding spell or asking questions, George used Legilimency to extract memories directly from Drake's mind.

"Got it!"

George grinned broadly and returned to the bedroom. Underneath a specially crafted box beneath the bed, he found a massive tome nearly half a meter thick.

It was none other than the Book of Morgana, containing the entire repository of Morgana faction magic.

Meanwhile, Drake, still petrified, was utterly bewildered.

In his wildest dreams, he could never have imagined being attacked by a magic-wielding panda while in the midst of his most intimate activities.

And to add insult to injury, the panda had stolen his magic ring and his prized spellbook.

It was absurd beyond belief!

...

T/N: I watched the Sorcerer's Apprentice when I was a kid. And, I do remember there being a Encantus book that acted like the record of everything from history to all the magic in that world. I don't remember there being a thing like Book of Morgana/Morgana Grimoire. Please consider this to be an AU element. As there is a Book of Merlin/Merlin Grimoire as well. This must have been done so that George's spell can't be listed by Encantus which is omniscient and can record all the magic used in that world.
