[Teen Wolf : A Chimera Rising—Chapter 77]
Added 2025-12-31 01:14:19 +0000 UTC“ What are you saying?” Derek muttered, powering through his agony as a spark of something deeper drew inside of him, greed for power.
“ Peter is no better than dead in his state, I don't get anything from his death, but you—you both do.” Markus muttered, grinning as he fed on their growing greed.
“ What do you want?” Scott growled, staring at Peter's defenceless form.
“ What I want?” Markus asked, more to himself than them before a grin murked his hidden visage.
“ Y-yes, what do you want.” Derek asked.
“ Depends, what do you have to offer?” Markus asked.
“ What do you want?” Derek parroted Scotts question.
“ What do you have to offer? I won't accept the same question again.” Markus muttered, his voice taking a dark turn as he stared at the two.
Hearing his words, Scott and Derek's minds immediately started churning for anything that they could offer.
“ The first offer that catches my fancy wins, come on now.” Markus muttered, wanting to end the entire conversation—his mind processing a message from one of his clones, their ‘covet’ mission complete.
Chris hearing that guarded himself, knowing very well that whatever he did to interrupt whatever it is that he was now part of would not go well for him, though mostly his daughter.
“ Anything! Anything you want that I have, I'll give it to you.” Scott shouted, hope in his eyes surprising Markus for a moment.
He would have thought that offer would have come from Derek, but it seemed that his brother had changed a lot in his absence.
“ Oh? Anything huh? Are you sure you can bear the cost of what I would ask of you, Scott?” Markus asked, amused.
“ Yes, anything as long as I can give.” Scott agreed, sick and tired of being weak as he was to the point where he almost died today.
“ Good, then Scott, I want your girlfriend, Allison.” Markus muttered, grinning under his mask.
The reaction was immediate, Allison breaking out from her shock from beforehand to look surprised and shocked at him.
“ No! Absolutely not!” Chris shouted, his hand on his gun and seething with anger.
“ Wh-what? Allison?” Scott asked, surprised and confused at what was asked of him.
Scott's words had everyone staring at him, and what they saw had them shocked and worried.
Scott's face was marred with indecision and contemplation.
Seeing this Markus grinned, his revenge falling in place faster than he expected due to Scotts sudden greed for power.
Allison seeing Scotts expression of contemplation felt her heart drop, betrayal plastered all over her face.
“ S-scott?” She muttered, unsure whether she was seeing things as her boyfriend seemed to be contemplating selling her to the masked figure.
Scotts eyes met hers and she felt fear and uncertainty.
‘Would her boyfriend really sell her for power?’ That was the thought plaguing her mind, and as she looked deep into those Brown eyes she found her answer.
Yes, he probably would.
That confirmation tore her heart in two.
And at that moment she wondered where she had went so wrong.
But moments later she got her answer, everything had went askew after that fateful day.
The day Markus was ousted as warlock, something that now she has come to be told was never true.
Then she dated Scott, moreso for the mission to find the Alpha but had come to look at him as more than obligation to her family, just as she had with Markus.
But it seemed that karma for all her wrongdoings had finally saw fit to reach her doorsteps.
“ So what will it be?” Markus muttered, having waited long enough for Scotts answer and having gotten a mental message from two of his clone squads he had sent out for different mission's.
Scott hearing his words quickly gazed up at him and just as he was about to answer, they all heard the click of a gun.
Their eyes went to Chris, who had his gun aimed at Scott with a furious scowl on his face.
“ Don't you dare.” Chris Argent muttered, ready to shoot Scott at the blink of an eye.
Seeing this Markus grinned.
“ Well, it seems that Scott you can't give me what I want then.” Markus muttered in that distorted voice attributed by his mask.
Hearing that and staring at the gun trained on him Scott clenched his jaw in helplessness and anger.
“ Derek, it seems that this is your lucky day.” Markus muttered, ignoring the building tension that had suddenly enveloped the area.
“ So tell me Derek, what is it that you can give me?” Markus asked.
Derek looked contemplative for a moment before stilling himself.
“ That contract, the one you signed with Allison, give me one like hers and allow me to become the Alpha.” Derek spoke up, immediately Scotts eyes bulged, the thought never having crossed his mind.
“ Oh? I like the way you think.” Muttered Markus with a grin.
“ But no, you're not worth me using such an Artifact as you don't have anything that I'd want.” Markus muttered, his eyes staring at a screen.

Derek's stats only proved to show Markus that the cast of the first season had been truly weak and unimpressive at the beginning.
“ But I can allow you to become an Alpha, in exchange I want five favours that in the future I'll come to collect.” Markus told him of his demands, not deeming it worthy.
“ F-five?” Derek parroted, a frown on his face.
“ And if you ever refuse any of them, make no mistake that I will take back what I've given and then more.” He threatened, then he held out his hand towards Peter who thrashed even harder.
“ N-no! Don't! Derek! I'm your uncle! You can't do this to me!” Peter begged, having shifted back to a human.
“ And to make this deal even better.” Markus muttered, walking up to Derek and holding out his hand to his bleeding form.
“ Blessing Magic: Divine Grace.” Markus casted, his magic running through Derek and healing his wounds within seconds.
“ Now, your prize awaits.” Markus muttered with a grin.
Derek finding himself back in peak condition didn't waste any time, stepping up to his uncle.
And just at that moment a car suddenly pulled in, a porsche that he quickly realised was Jackson's.
And out of it came Stiles and Jackson.
“ Ah, okay? What the hell is going on here?” Stiles muttered, keeping his distance as he stared at Chris who had a gun trained straight at his best friends head.
Jackson instead looked on at Derek, who even with their sudden arrived didn't stop walking towards his prize until he was infront of Peter.
“ Derek! Please! Don't do this! I'm your uncle!” Peter shouted, begging for his life.
“ You killed my sister.” Derek uttered, his voice cold as ice before holding out his hand as claws flashed out.
“ Urhmm...should we not be doing something?” Stiles asked, confused about the entire situation.
“ No! Stiles, stay out of it, he's dangerous.” Allison shouted, fearful that Stiles would do something stupid.
“ Yeah sure, I'll stay here and watch someone get murdered, like I'm not a sheriff's son.” Stiles uttered in bafflement and sarcasm.
“ I'd listen to my daughter if I were you.” Chris also said, never lowering his pistol.
“ And now you want me to listen to you? You're holding a gun to my best friends face!” Stiles shouted in agitation.
“ Stiles, Shut up and listen!” Scott finally broke, his head heavy.
“ Y-yeah! Sure, got it!” Stiles muttered, raising his hands up in defeat.
And finally with that disturbance dealt with everyone watched as Derek looked at Peter's red glowing eyes, then with swipe he slashed Peters throat through, tearing through it like butter.
And moments later as everyone watched in anticipation, Derek turned to them, his eyes glowing a deep red.
“ I'm the Alpha now.” He muttered, grinning as he felt the power coursing through his veins.
“ Don't forget, you owe me Derek, and I'll come to claim.” Markus muttered, taking his eyes off Derek before staring at the burnt Hale house.
“ Now, for what I came for.” Markus muttered to himself, walking up the stairs of the burnt house as everyone watched on.
He quickly found his target, laid down on the floor with her throat clawed and laying on her blood.
‘ Bingo.’ He thought, grabbing the body and carrying it in a princess carry.
He then walked out, to find the crowd still unsure of how to proceed as they had dozens of hunters dead on the ground and a dead ex alpha still trapped in his earth spell.
“ W-what are you doing with Aunt Kate?” Allison muttered, being the first to see him.
“ None of your business, little hunter.” Markus told her, walking through them as he watched with his senses whether anyone would try to stop him.
The only one who seemed apprehensive of his actions was Chris, but ultimately he didn't do anything, lowering his gun too before running towards his daughter.
Seeing this he grinned as he walked into the forest with a body in his arms, a body that still held a flicker of lifeforce that just refused to flicker out.
“ Now the games begin.” He muttered before disappearing from their sight, utilising his immense speed to weave through the trees.
