Done with that he grinned, walking up towards Mr Argents with a smirk on his face.
“ W-why a-are you d-doing th-this?” Chris had enough energy to question him, the smartest question asked yet.
“ That is none of your business Mr Argents.” Markus disregarded him, holding out his arms towards the man.
“ Blessing Magic: Divine Grace. ” Markus casted, his hands glowing a golden light feeling the way his mana seemed to shift into divine energy.
The spell was one he created earlier, a temporary blessing of accelerated regeneration.
The idea and blueprint of this blessing was taken from his regeneration ability, he found that he had a far easier time translating abilities and skills he had into blessings than to come up with one without basis.
That wasn't to say that he couldn't though, it would have taken a far longer time then he had left though.
Chris gawked in awe as the golden light from the man infront of him streamed into his body, quickly he felt his body stabilize as his wounds slowly knitted together before his healing rune suddenly jumpstarted into power in a way he never experienced before.
The entire process had him flabbergasted, feeling as not only did his body feel rejuvenated but even his well of magic regenerated tens of times faster.
That to him was impossible or unprecedented.
That immediately made him all the more warrier of the masked man, suspicion gnawing at his gut.
Even though he had helped them subdue the Beast Alpha and even saved his daughter, his intentions were still not clear to him and he didn't like that.
And the fact that he called himself Doctor Warlock did nothing to soothe his worries.
Markus watched the man he was healing churn his brain, definitely wondering about him with no doubt and scoffed finally done with healing him.
“ There, done.” He muttered, looking back at Allison before his eyes drifted to his brother Scott.“ Now it's time for you.”
Scott immediately perked up at that, frowning and hopeful at the same time.
He wanted to feel greatful for the man about to heal him, because he didn't know whether his natural werewolf healing would have been able to heal his grievous wounds and he didn't want to go to the hospital where his nature would be found out and where his mother was.
But everything about the man irked him, he couldn't put a finger to it but he just couldn't find it in himself to like him.
That probably had something to do with the way Allison had been looking at the masked man, greatful and something more.
Though at least she got the masked man to heal him, even though she hadn't been the one to broker that deal and was instead a freebie thrown to sweeten the deal for whatever the contract entailed.
“ You know, you don't look anything like your twin brother.” Immediately that had the attention of everyone still conscious or not dead, frowns plastering their faces at the masked man's words.
Scotts eyes widened, frowned and stiffened.
“ You, you know my brother?” Scott asked, growling actually as his eyes glowed a sickly yellow.“ Does he work for you?! Did he send you here?!”
“ Work for me? Hah!” Markus scoffed, finally springing up his lie even as he ignored Scotts growling.“ No, Scott. Markus is my prisoner and has been instrumental in my experiments, he's allowed me a breakthrough of the millennium, his DNA contains multiple supernatural genetic markers and all the power that comes with it.”
““ What?”” Allison, Chris and Scott perked up for a various of reasons.
Allison was worried and fearful for the first person that she had called friend in this town, now hearing that he was reduced to nothing but a prisoner being experimented on by the man that had just saved her made her stomach twist—somehow believing that this was all her fault.
Chris instead worried for the possible danger that presented, a man that had somehow been able to fuse multiple supernatural races into a single person. That much power in the hands of supernatural creature was dangerous, and the person able to make such creatures was even worse—immediately he knew that he had to stop him, but from his capabilities Chris knew that would be impossible.
Scott on the other hand was a rilling mess of emotions, first he felt relief at his brothers fate, he knew that he shouldn't have but he did—there had been no love between him and his brother for a long time and he always worried that he would one day come out of nowhere and ruin things for him and Allison as he knew that she felt something for him no matter what refusal she may say.
Then there was the fear and envy that somehow he had obtained such power, that to him wasn't fair—finally in his life he had something unique about himself, his werewolf gift as Derek had shown him made him special and the thought that his brother had once more overshined him made him despair but now the silver lining was that he'd probably never see or hear from him again, another win for him.
Then there was greed, he wondered whether he could somehow get the man to give him the same power that he had given his brother—maybe through those contracts that were definitely magical in nature.
And as his wounds knitted, through the conversation having been healed by the man's strange power.
And before Scott could even get a say Allison move faster than he'd ever seen her, even with her runes as wind brushed through their location in gusts.
And before he could process what was happening, Allison had her bow in hand, arrow notched and pointed straight at the masked man's head with a dangerous scowl on her face.
“ Where is he!?” She asked, wind forming around her arrow in a sharp whistle.
Markus seeing this almost burst out chuckling, a grin settling on his face.
“ Oh?” Markus muttered, amusement clear in his voice.
