News - Updated "Almanac" Section

Here's another sneak peek at the fancy, polished menus we're making for launch!

Some players had expressed confusion about the "Glossary Entry" notifications that unlock periodically through the game, so we decided to rename this game feature to "Almanac" and make the whole thing clearer by giving it its own menu button. Now the Almanac can be accessed directly from the Experiences screen, instead of having to navigate to it within the Art Galleries!

When you click the Almanac, you are now taken to a map of the valley where Ach-na-Creige resides! We thought this was an excellent opportunity to give players a sense of location, distance, and overall how the region is laid out. Numbered buttons correspond to the headers below, and clicking on either opens up the list of backgrounds that correspond to that place. We think it's a big improvement on the big grid of thumbnails from before!

Clicking on the thumbnails at the right will take you to the same screens as before, with updated button designs to fit the printed book aesthetic. Once there you can still read up on all the bonus LORE that you've unlocked by playing through the game - including 14 new entries that will be added in this upcoming build!

The eagle-eyed among you may recognize this map from the Chapter Navigation section, and wondering, "isn't that a little redundant?" Well, as part of the updates, we'll be changing the map out for something even fancier in the revised table of contents. More on that next time!

We know these extras aren't for everyone, but we hope they give something for lore-hungry players to sink their teeth into and learn more about the characters, the setting and the time - or at least make for a little laugh, as some can be pretty silly (we think)!
