Strathcarron Setting (Minor Spoilers)
Added 2021-08-02 22:00:38 +0000 UTCOne of three new backgrounds this chapter, this one was fun to draw because unlike the fictional setting of Ach-na-Creige, this place really existed! I got to exercise my history nerd muscles and did research to make sure Strathcarron's train station would look the way it did a hundred years ago. I'll be sure to share what I learned in glossary entries in-game!
If you happen to visit Strathcarron (IRL or on Google Maps), you'll find that the train station hasn't changed much in the last century. The trains sure have, though! For any locomotive enthusiasts following our project, I did my best to faithfully recreate one of the "Skye Bogies" that would have shuttled passengers on the Highland Railway at the time.
We're steadily crossing assets like these off our to-do list and working hard to have the second half of the Beta ready around the end of the month! In the meantime, hope you enjoy these sneak peeks!
