I know it's been an issue with Patreon app lately (absolutely MAGNIFICENT app otherwise) when you can't leave comments because the "Send" button wouldn't become active...
What you need to do is to tap on your comment field again.
First I just hid my phone keyboard and came back to the comment. Now I think I can just tap on the text field again and the app somehow recognizes the comment as legit.
I have NO IDEA what's going on, but it helped me to answer to your comments from my phone. Maybe this will help you.
