The first thing Ken's eyes looked through was his System name.

System names were essentially the base makeup of a systems cores, the more there were—the more convoluted ones name was.

But then again the systems name also informed one of how much core concepts a system had.

Next was his System True Name.

That one was more important, as a systems True Name held power and could get you enslaved by Mortals, Gods or even other Systems if one wasn't careful hiding it.

Some Systems according to his information database gave their True names to other systems as a show of fealty, coming under them as servants to that one system which was apparently something called System Pantheons.

Where Systems who shared the same concepts grouped up to support and protect each other.

After all, Systems weren't unknown to death as like all things in reality, death was present to all even if it worked by different rules.

Then there were the Power Tiers.

Power Tiers was how Systems inferred on other beings Tiers of strength, either it be mortals who mostly were Tier 0 beings to Tier 1 beings who had crossed to the divine realm such as Demigods and Minor Gods to Tier 2 beings who could sink entire nations in their power up to Tier 9 beings who were basically Multiversal.

Systems too fell under these tiers even if their power stayed unseen for the most part, only being able to use their true powers in metaphysical spaces such as soulscapes, mind realms and the like.

Most Systems only fought against each other as their powers could only affect other metaphysical creatures of their own nature.

Though that wasn't to say that Systems didn't fight other beings too as there were a lot of physical beings that could cross to the metaphysical realms where systems resided.

But since Systems had an exclusive realm of their own, these fights with physical creatures didn't escalate to anything beyond skirmishes.

Also yes, Systems fought each other for a many reasons.

Either a system found themselves in a world with another system and didn't want to share their harvests or because other system's hunted others.

As for why a system would actively hunt other systems? Well that was because killing other systems was a whole lot easier way to obtaining resources.

When a system died they broke apart for lack of better words, those parts were resources to other systems as Systems would drop their concept cores and essence they had on them.

Concept cores could be absorbed by other systems of they were compatible with their own core, thus strengthening them and granting them improved traits.

Or a system could absorb a concept core as it was, which was a whole load easier then trying to find a compatible concept core to them—but absorbing other systems concept cores was a dangerous endeavour that could break a system due to strain on their metaphysical bodies.

So systems only absorbed cores that were Synergistic to their original born concept cores as that was less strainfull to them.

There were other uses for concept cores though, a whole lot but for now that wasn't useful to him so he skimmed through the information on his database until reaching the essence information.

Essence, the lifeblood of all systems.

This was what all systems sought in their lives.

Essence had a varying amount of uses as it was the purest aspect of conceptual energy.

What systems used it for though was much simpler, growth.

Essence allowed a system the ability to increase their power, either by refining it into their stats of Body Core, Mind Core, Mystic Core in order to grow their Power Tier.

Or they used it to grow their Core Concepts in order to obtain further traits with each level in their Core Concept.

There was little that essence couldn't be used for in the right hands.

You wanted to revive something? Essence could do that but you either needed a core concept to facilitate that or vast amounts of knowledge.

You wanted to create a legendary weapon for your host because he's getting dogged on by his peers? Essence could create that, so long as you had the required Concept core to facilitate crafting or the required knowledge alongside some material.

Essence at its foremost represented creation and growth in its purest form.

Systems utilised this energy for a lot of things and hoarded it immensely as it was hard to obtain depending on every system.

Systems could harvest essence only in the mortal realms and only through hosts in contractual symbiosis.

Hosts have Systems a gateway to harvesting essence and System's have hosts aid and power.

But Systems only obtained essence from concepts that aligned with theirs.

So a lust system could obtain essence from debauchery like sex and the pleasures of the body.

A war system could obtain essence from wars fought that their host atleast had some connection to and the like.

Meaning that he could only obtain essence when his host plundered which was a broad concept.

The concept at its heart meant taking what was not his through force.

So it was apparent that he wouldn't be the good guy in this life, something that he hadn't been in the first place.

Then there was his second concept core, Synergy.

And at its essence the concept meant the combination of two facets of things.

That one was vague as it was also broad but in its vagueness it atleast showed him how he could utilise it.

Synergizing two things into one.

He'd have to experiment with that concept when he had the chance.

Then the next thing he looked through in his System Status was his True Talent.

True Talents were metaphysical powers that every single sentient being could bring out in the right circumstances.

And due to his System nature, his was already Awakened at birth.

And looking into it through the lens of a system had him widening his eyes at how useful his was.

[—Eyes of Heaven's Path[SSS] - The Eyes of Heaven's Path is an ocular inspection type talent that allows one to see the imperfections in reality, also allowing them the ability to refine said imperfections until said phenomenon reaches a perfect state.

~Draws from the users knowledge in order to perfect any imperfect phenomenon.
~Contains a mental library of which the user may view and perfect all know knowledge from.]

Looking through further information of the talents capabilities Ken grinned.

This would make his life a whole load easier.

Being able to perfect anything he laid his eyes upon was nothing if not overpowered.

As a magus in his last life he knew how incredible the talent was.

This talent allowed him so long as he had a vast catalogue of information to draw from to peer through anything and see it's imperfections and from there he could utilise information that he had to perfect said phenomenon.

With this a basic spell could be perfected into something that even Master Magus couldn't hope to replicate with and with only a fraction of the mana it would need an imperfect basic to cast.

He also did notice that the talent seemed to have derived itself from the Library Of Heaven's Path, a universe that he had never journeyed to due to not being strong enough.

‘ I'll make sure to make great use out you.’ Ken thought with a grin.
