Wisp to RainbowLand 🌈 | Update

Good morning.

Okay, most of you don’t know but, I’m doing a reboot fandom series— using The 1982 classic , Rainbowbrite.  After doing some studying for the IP ( because I only knew so much about it) I came to the conclusion that this magical girl needed a Darker Edge and a familiar/ revamp that is aimed  for a generations that deserve it the most— Zillennials and Gen Z.

Based off my knowledge, most if not a lot of our favorite television series were truly only created to create and market toys. It was the easiest way ( never the cheapest ) to get an audience to immerse them self to a brand. This can be found and clearly spotted throughout the script and dialogues Of some of the classics. The stories would have no true rhyme or reason and wouldnt make much sense episode to episode. This specific series would quickly make an abrupt hiatus after their failed attempts to rebrand before the 2000s . Their second attempt being the rebranding of ‘Up Up and away” collection. Though there were many attempts throughout the 2000s, and 2010s  for a reboot/ rebranding, those attempts were short lived and never successful.

Doing this for fun — I slowly wanted to actually take charge of this possible resurgence. But I know this is going to be Damn near one of the hardest challenges I could take on for myself. im doing this all at once while also juggling the many personal projects I’d like to pursue.

So far though this project has giving me another perspective for visual development and has really helped me expand my portfolio.  Today,  I’ll be sharing a few pieces that I have already made public  and some I just managed to complete. Since I have no licensing for this series, most post about Wisp to Rainbowland will be for those that subscribe for FREE here. While content like Timelapse’s, Breakdowns and early access can be found for those that are able or want to subscribe for specifics rewards.

Some comic work you‘ll see hopefully— the more this is shared and told to others the likely hood I can find more time to get this project completed.
