Space Delay
Added 2024-10-29 17:50:32 +0000 UTCThis last weekend I made the first big fx plugin for Fields and I'm really excited with how it turned out. I was going to wait till i launch the software to talk about it but its too cool to not.
This is Space Delay. Its a play on a popular waves plugin called H-Delay that i love the sound of but wanted to expand upon. Space Delay is a delay effect that has very similar topology to H-Delay but with a quadriphonic feedback network. Currently it gives 4 encoded objects (thinking about doing 6) that you can spread across your immersive environment and each object taps out of the delay loop progressively. so you can create a ping pong delay but as it bounces back and forth it bounces 1-2-3-4 with options to filter 3 and 4 separate from 1 and 2. It makes a cool 3d bouncing effect with depth.
It also has tape distortion and saturation built into the feedback network. It does not have time stretching like H-Delay however, that's a little to complicated for my current level.
This is a major plugin to mix in Fields as you can use it for Delay, Reverb, Chorus, basic widening of sounds, special effects etc.
I also did my first blender render of a plugin face thing that looks kind of cool.
