Hey Folks,
Time to paint the Tree Goblin! He is my top favorite of the 4 BDWS Busts.
We will not only paint this one up... no, we will also do a small conversion!
I wanted to add an angler fish-like antenna because somehow his looks remind me of deep-sea creatures. I love the little detail of the leaf-like shaggy flesh elements, and I think you can also imagine him so nicely sitting in a tree waiting for his prey. I didn't want to lose the tree/floral/nature association, so I decided to design the antenna like a small flower!
While removing the busts from their backdrop I noticed that they were hollow prints, and the idea grew on me that I could use the empty place to build in an LED light.
This way he could be hunting fireflies at night... and it´s also a super fun little gimmick when they will be finally hanging on the studio walls.
Also, this bust offers the perfect occasion to paint crazy toad eyes!

Both the vampire bust and tree goblin were a good occasion to work with strange materials again.

For the vampire bust, I have used dead semi-rotten leaves as a stencil to create his deep mottled skin! I can't wait to share that with you!

For the flower antenna of the tree goblin, I have used the outer paper-like peel of garlic to create the light and translucent flower petals

As I also wanted to include the conversion process, so I decided that I would split up the red-eyed bloodsucker and the tree goblin because the video got way too long!
But we will be following soon (Sorry for the delay :* )

Alright, now it´s time to enjoy the video!
And as always, thanks for your support !
