How to paint an Ice Queen - exploring my monument hobbies signatur paint set

Hi Folks,

Sorry for the super silent month! It all went quite differently than expected.

I started to film a completely different project for this month... but then I went to my favorite miniature show on the whole globe, the Monte San Savino Show, and brought home COVID.

Again?! Aes!! the third time by now, and this time it really knocked me out for 9 days.. on top, we had water damage in the apartment (the floor heating above us burst) and now there are super noisy construction works the whole time. As I edit the videos, and do the virtual coaching from here you can imagine how pleasant it is with a sledgehammer jamming on the concrete floor above your head the whole day.

Well as the Beatles said: "Life is what happens to you while you are busy having other plans"

Again, sorry for the silence! I ended up finishing this month's video just now and a pdf will follow soon.

In this month's video, we will not only paint one bust. No, we will paint two, two versions of the same bust. Almost like two unalike sisters, pictured as Ice Queens ruling over their frosty kingdom.

We will be using the busts to explore Matt´s and my signature paint set from Monument Hobbies .

We will use it to paint a fantastic little Bust sculpted by Benjamin Kantor.

Thanks, Buddy!!

Benjamin fantastic painter and sculptor, he is also a long-time supporter here on the Patreon. I always wanted to paint one of his sculpts and this was the perfect opportunity.

Check out his work here:

We will be using mainly Matt´s and my new paint set but also use a few other tones here and there.

I also wanted to give you a little insight into why I chose those colors for my set and how they behave when you put them into action.

To really grasp the painting process in detail and describe how the paints behave I did a voiceover this time. I hope you like it!

Thanks for your Support!!

Here is a little teaser for next month's project:

That loaded brush looks like your going to ruin the piece but it works every time you get great highlights. Going to try it. Thanks for a great video.

Hi Ben, Three times! So sorry to hear that and water damage can absolutely be the worse. Hopefully you are getting past it all well and looking forward to the latest coming videos!
