Hi Folks,
today we will discover how to paint the angel-like wings of Sanguinius.

As you all know when you paint a complex model like this one here in such a short amount of time, you have to save some time somewhere.
We are using a combination of airbrush, drybrushing, and manual highlights. First, we are going for a black spraypaint foundation, followed by a warm white highlight with Ivory and some browner color variations using a glaze of thinned-down Cygore Brown.
Before starting the drybrushing process we are working on the separation of the different layers of the wings. We are using contrast paints for that.
The Wings are one of the elements where we can save some time due to the amazing sculpt. The depth of the feathers is just perfect for drybrushing. In combination with our colored airbrush foundation, we can achieve an awesome look in no time.
As we want to make sure the level of definition works well with the rest of the model/diorama we are adding a few more articulated highlights.
These last highlights also help to hide the typical "footprints" of the drybrushing process.
but enough explaining the process in the post ;) ... have fun watching the video!!
Thanks for your Support!
