here comes another packed video post!
This time we are focussing on bringing the demon Ka Bandha to life.
The last time I asked if you prefer longer or shorter video formats,
the vote was crystal clear- everyone screamed for longer videos.
So here we are with the first part of the Demon Ka´bandha,
In 1,5 h we will walk through the conversion of turning the mighty dragon Karazai into our brutal Khorne demon Ka Bandha and start the paint job on him.
As this video is a bit longer as well, here is a little overview of the chapters of the video.
We will paint the red-scaled skin, trying to achieve a life-like skin tone with interesting color variations.
Speaking of color variation: We are also introducing a softer-looking beige skin area on the inner side of the arm and the hand.
We are working out our detailed scaled skin, adding more the colorful scales to the leg.
When I converted the demon, I decided to add a curly demon tail, similar to a bull's tail. I sculpted it super slick, and once the primer was on, it looked way too smooth to work with detailed scaled skin on the rest of the model. We are using this opportunity to add painted-on texture to create a faux skin texture.
Finally, we are painting the hooves and the NMM gold trim.
In the next video, we will discover more of Ka Bandha´s goodness.
