MAKE ART NOT WAR video

Hey Folks, here is a brand new miniature,

with an unusual, but yet super interesting, a topic that is relevant for a lot of models.. .Chest hair and tattoos! Even worse.. full-blown 60ies rug.

I will demonstrate the techniques on a fantastic Model sculpted by one of our own supporters, the talented Magnus Fagerberg.

Jakob, Magnus and Mads, three of my virtual coaching supporters teamed up to start their own little line of Miniatures. Under the name of Nordlys Miniatures, they decided to create super fine detailed miniatures with a deluxe packaging with an eye for detail.

For all releases of Nordlys Miniatures they plan to release at least two box art paint jobs. One that shows the figure in the originally designed way, the other on (the so-called Bizart or Bizzaro version) where you show a unique interpretation of the model. This way you see the whole range of creative possibilities that you have with each model.

And as I loved that Idea I wanted to create the Bizart Version of Björn, the Viking. I decided to turn him into a Hippie... :D Maybe an unusual topic for a world full of military models... But I wanted to create a different kind of character to the once that we are so used to see. I wanted to create a model with storytelling details, that doesn't need much of actually converting to still show the wonderful sculpt by Magnus.

Magnus also painted the other official box art of his own sculpt. We both painted our version not knowing what the other would come up with. As I respect Magnus as a painter it was really interesting to see what he would come up with, and how he would paint something that he had sculpted himself.
