Katakros- Part I Bone Armor

 Hey Folks,

sorry for the little delay. After the Monte San Savino show a flew kind of slowed things down.

Here is the first Chapter of Katakros- the Mortarch of the Necropolis. In this first chapter, we will discover how to paint a shiny looking non-bone-bone armor ;) I wanted to create a more dynamic look, so I have converted the model

by adding a floating cape and modifying the sash a bit. I have used "pro-create"-sculpy for that. on the pic below you can see the armature holding it in place to dry.

The nice thing about pro-create is that you can easily remove it again, this way we have better access to the model.

We are using this old fashioned anatomy poster as an inspiration for our color palette.

For the placement of light and shadows, we are analyzing the shapes first, and then painting the volumes in a matching way.

The colors I have used for the Bone Armor:

P3 Rucksack Tan
Schminke Primacryl Titanium White
Kimera Kolors Carbon Black
Model Color Turqoise
Contrast Color Fleshtearers Red
Contrast Color Wyld Wood

I hope you like this Video! Have fun watching
Thank you folks for your support and also thanks to Games Workshop for sending me this Kit!
