I truly love this series as it has genuine character development that is relatable. It shows life in a way that is simple and not over done for tv. I can’t wait to see you go forward with this series and go through the genuine emotions the character development evokes.

I think the moral of this episode, and perhaps the whole series, can be boiled down to when Keeley repeated Rebecca's wisdom at the end: Being accountable matters. Jamie couldn't fathom that what he did was wrong, so he couldn't take any accountability for his actions and just mumbled meaningless apologies. Keeley on the other hand realized that she hurt Roy when she was trying to hurt Jamie, so she gave him a sincere apology. Rupert never showed any real remorse for his actions, always just laughing them off or buying away the consequences, and look at how much damage he did to Rebecca. It's that taking responsibility which separates people who makes honest mistakes, from those who cause real damage.

I am loving this show

Remember, there's a whole bunch of team players we don't know - so you will see more conflicts/character development from the rest of the team as the series progresses.

Fine feathered friends and foes all alike 🫡

Regarding the age of football (soccer) players, midfielders and defenders can play til they're in their mid or late 30s, but goalkeepers can even play when they're in their mid 40s. I think the oldest goalie was Gianluigi Buffon, who retired at age of 45 in 2023. He is an Italian and European legend in professional football. 🙂

"I love that Roy went with the triple black!" That's legit just how Brett Goldstein (the actor who plays Roy, who is also one of the writers) dresses. Saw him on his standup tour last year (which was fantastic, by the way), and sure enough, he was dressed in black jeans and a black t-shirt. Roy's aesthetic is just Brett's aesthetic.

In to note that the busker in this episode, Cam Cole, is an actual London busker who they just kinda stumbled across and put in the show for that role. Also: Bex is played by a model named Keeley Hazell who, if you couldn't tell by the name, is one of the inspirations for the character of Keeley. She was dating Sudeikis at the time, and even after they broke up, she joined the writing team in season three (so it must have been a super amicable split).

Another Tuesday saved by Ted!

Sorry for the delay. If you have trouble with the YT link, let me know. That was presenting issues. Should be good now.
