There was some great acting in this episode from Tanner, Ralph, some great emotion being brought from Martin Kove and that fantastic scene from William Zabka. All leading to the Thunderstruck ending, which I loved your reaction to.

2025-02-19 08:40:14 +0000 UTCThere are many great things about this episode but I kind of hate that Tanner Buchanan’s performance in the locker room gets a little lost in the wake of Billy Zabka’s huge scene with Martin Kove at the end. Not to take away from the Johnny/ Kreese scene which was incredible but the Johnny/ Robby scene was also super powerful.

PF is one of my all time favorite bands, so I definitely see where you were coming from with that. But, man, "Silent Lucidity" was f$&ing everywhere when I was in eighth grade. I know that song even after not hearing it in 15 years. lol.

2025-02-18 20:51:56 +0000 UTCI’ve watched the episode 2-3 times now & was with you guys every step there, the call backs, fan service, redemption, full circle stuff (more to come) & emotion - I’ve been an absolute diehard since I was 5 watching the original, plus loving part 2 & 3, & this whole show has been amazing. Something I’m so glad to have been around for it. Awesome. It makes the original movies hit different too!

2025-02-18 20:44:55 +0000 UTCI've rewatched that scene so many times, from the time Gunther says "However..." up to the credits... and it gets me pumped every... single... time. Using Thunderstruck is just a cheat code for me, in general, but man does it get me fired up in that scene.

Zabka gave the best performance of anyone in the entire run of the show in that scene, and Martin Kove was no slouch either. And also: Miguel flipping over to represent Cobra Kai was something that I saw coming a million miles away, but I'll be damned if I didn't still get INSANELY fired up when he, Tory, and Johnny come out in slow motion to Thunderstruck. All of the chills in the world right there.
