2025-02-06 16:02:17 +0000 UTCI don't know if you've watched Animal already, but I feel there is a little bit of context you might want to know before watching: the director's previous movie was a big hit but he faced criticism, especially from critics, for showing a "violent, toxic, sexist character"... the director got fed up and in an interview said "you want to see a violent movie/character? I'll show you one"... so that's what led to Animal being made. There is even a small post credit scene that is clearly taking the piss at critics lol. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on the movie. I feel you might find it interesting or just not connect at all, it's 50/50... It's definitely an odd movie, but I guess the oddity is more understandable when knowing why the director wrote and made this film.
