I loved watching this with you guys! I have a recommendation. I've always loved Bollywood movies and one I recently watched was Bajirao Mastani. It's an epic love triangle story about real people from the 18th century; a general named Bajirao, who was the Peshwa (essentially the prime minister who managed political and military affairs), his wife Kashibai (played in the movie by our girl Priyanka Chopra-Jonas) and his second wife, Mastani (played by Deepika Padukone, who plays Naina in YJHD). There's drama, romance, battles, and kick-ass musical numbers.

Loved your reaction to this as always! So glad you guys are doing more Bollywood movies as I think it's an underrated genre. My two personal recommendations are going to be DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) and K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham)--both are super classic and iconic!

Cool 🙂 Had you seen this one before or did you discover it along with the guys?

Aria Isara

It's a must see for sure

Please watch "Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava", Jr NTR's film (Bheem from RRR) . It deals with violence in Rayalaseema region called "Faction" in Telugu states.

vikram

Not entirely new, I watch some every so often if amazon or neflix recommends me one that looks interesting!

You guys should checkout bajraangi bhaijaan absolute 10/10 and emotional movie

Just curious if you're new to Indian movies? 🙂

Aria Isara

I second that 👍

What an amazing movie! The song and dance was fantastic but as someone who *has* travelled the world, chasing my dreams, and still live abroad today, the scene about the dad at the end hit so hard. It's my biggest fear - losing family while I'm unable to get home in time. I'm so happy I did the travelling I did while I could(I now have long covid and am mostly stuck in my house) but also 100% understand why my sister never had those dreams of seeing the world and settled down with her husband and 3 kids, everyone has different dreams and dreams change over time. My long-term goal is now to buy a small farm for myself where I can grow most of my food and write my books while the cat antagonises the chickens.

At the end of the movie Amazon recommended to you "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" as your next watch, I have recommended it to you too! It's a great romcom. Fun fact, the lead actor is Deepika's real life husband, and the lead actress is Ranbir's real life wife 😊 (you saw her as Sita in RRR).

GUYS, this reaction was an absolute BANGER, and your review was great too! I hadn't seen this movie since it came out in 2013, it's a movie I like but your reaction made it even better for me. Actually among the Indian movie reactions you did this is my favourite. Your banter like when Answer said "Dave, what a stupid name" lol 😂, Answer singing on Badtameez Dil and getting the "mane na mane na" part, Oak grasping some Hindi and saying "tu ja", how you guys were desperately waiting for the kiss and then how you cheered when it happened, Oak going "I will burn the studio down" after Mason suggested we may not get a happy end 😂, Answer's heart comment, your KGF references with "congratulations I love you"... This is top tier reaction 🤗👌 About the Stallone resemblance... I've watched Ranbir's movies for around 15 years and never once thought of it, but now that you've pointed it out I can't unsee it. It's the eyes especially!! For some tidbits that you may find interesting, Ranbir is Kareena Kapoor's cousin, she was the lead girl in 3 Idiots. They're both very renowned actors and come from a long line of artists, their grandfather Raj Kapoor was one of the most respected actors and directors of the 50s and 60s, and even Raj's dad had become a star during the era of silent movies. Ranbir and Deepika dated for several years in real life, they had already broken up when shooting this film, thankfully they are on good terms so they still work together. They do have great chemistry as Oak said. 2 years after YJHD they did another movie together, Tamasha, another romcom/coming of age movie, but it gets more serious and hits deeper than YJHD. It's one of my fav Hindi movies and very high in my list of movies that I think you should react to, so I hope you'll consider it 🤞😁 Otherwise, the director of YJHD has another good coming of age movie called Wake Up Sid, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor (it was a few years before YJHD). The first song in YJHD, with the slightly older woman dancing, that was a cameo by Madhuri Dixit, who is one of the most renwowned Bollywood actresses of the 90s. Another movie you should add to the list is Devdas (2002), where she stars alongside Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan (the lead in Jawan). Cameos by famous actors especially during a song are common practice in Indian movies. Indeed Vikram was played by Rana Daggubati, the villain in Baahubali. I actually didn't even remember he was in this and gasped when I saw him 😲 At the start of the movie they thanked Madhuri and him, and I was wondering why him lol. The Ooh La La song that Aditi's husband did his dance on is a famous, slightly parodic song from the movie The Dirty Picture, a very good movie (inspired by the life of an actress from the 80s who was considered a sex symbol), and the visuals of the song are just extraordinary, too bad you couldn't see it there! Also, I had no idea the actor playing Aditi's husband was Aditya Roy Kapoor (Avi)'s brother, that's wild 🤯

Now, as you have watched this film, been introduced to Ranbir Kapoor. You guys would really enjoy Rocket singh salesman of the year and wake up Sid as more of his acting abilities in those films.

Ahmad Zain

Check shahruk khan movies, all of his movies are 10 of 10, my favourite one is Raees, it's very good trust

Asura

As a theatre geek, I absolutely adore Bollywood movies. Here's hoping you guys react to Dangal soon. I think you'll really enjoy that one.

There was a little hint of Sly for sure. 😂
