A big part of me will always like Light, because I love when people kill bad guys with no remorse but there are things he does that just makes me sad and not like him at the same time lol Like killing Raye that was sad, Poor Naomi.

Of course irl I would never support Kira/Light but as for a protagonist that is villainess i for sure do. Sephiroth is my fav char of all time for a reason. I love great characters in fiction doesn't matter if they good or bad. I welcome Light as my new god lol

I remember watching it when it first premiered in the US on adult swim. And don't get me wrong, this show is dark, but it is also thought provoking and thrilling. There is so much more to unpack from this show, and I can't wait to watch your reactions. Thanks for the great content!

For me personally, he is SO intriguing but I also quickly found myself saying "i hope he dies" after every episode very early on in the series lol I LOVE THIS SHOW

2024-12-09 22:01:57 +0000 UTCAfter what Ray said to Naomi, I was like yeah, I'm okay that he gets taken out. Girl should've toss that hot tea his way. I remember being tricked about the folder because Light disguised the papers. At first, I thought it was pages from the death note until we saw it and it was a box format. Despite Light unraveling, this sequence really highlights how devious Light is. It's only on the rewatch that I realized we're told it's still the death note because Light tells Ray to look at each picture then write the name.

Light is the protagonist in this story because he's the main character - the story starts with him and we follow his perspective (mainly). But he's a protagonist who happens to be morally bankrupt, so he's also a villain. Similarly L is the antagonist of the story, not because he's evil, but because he's the force against whatever the protagonist has going on.
