I’m excited to share some information with you about a new mod I’m working on for The Sims 3! 🌍 This mod allows for an immersive and realistic street survival experience, adding a whole new layer to the game for those who want to tell unconventional stories.
I’m a terrible survivalist. I literally have to sell the workbench to buy food, sell the bed to buy another workbench to make the food, then sell the fridge to buy a toilet, and then sell the toilet to buy a shower. In other words: TERRIBLE!
So, to make my life a bit easier and my Sims’ lives a little less “miserable,” I started working on this idea.
💡 How does it work? Now, your Sims can survive on the streets with new interactions to feed themselves and maintain hygiene, even without a home! You’ll see your Sim rummaging through trash for food and using puddles of water scattered around the city to take a bath on rainy days or using sprinklers.
Main Features:
🗑️ Dumpster Diving: By interacting with trash bins, the hunger need goes up (although it may seem unhygienic, some frugal Sims might beg to differ).
💧 Street Bathing: Find puddles of water after a rainstorm and let your Sims maintain basic hygiene while living outdoors. Or, use your neighbors' sprinklers to get that hygiene up.
🌦️ Survival Challenges: Make your Sims’ lives even more challenging and exciting with the need to find alternative ways to survive without a home. With the right traits, you might even be able to beg for food or money from other Sims!
This mod is perfect for those who love telling stories of overcoming challenges and survival in The Sims 3. Whether you’re creating a Sim who has lost everything or someone who chose to live off the grid, these new mechanics will enrich your gameplay—and hopefully support you if, like me, you’re terrible at managing your Sims’ money! I’ll be sharing the download soon. Right now, I’m making a few more tweaks to expand and ensure the best experience. If you have any suggestions you’d like to see implemented… let me know!
