I'm incredibly happy with the way that Bad Beat has been going, and despite being set back a fair amount by a truly awful double-whammy of viruses while I worked on this chapter, I did manage to finish it! In fact, it's probably my favorite chapter yet, due to some of the events that finally occur.

Thank you so much! I did some research on medieval torture devices when designing Elaine's pain machine prototype, and making a sound-sensitive version of the pear was my favorite part of the whole design. Glad you're enjoying their little "romance"!
