Odd One Out (Oneshot)

Sadly the fourth chapter of Bad Beat is a bit behind schedule, so I've got a fill-in for this week!

It's a return of Brent, Annie, and Patricia Taggert from Two Ladies, although it's set prior to their appearance in All Hallows Eve. I think their little neighborhood and those in it (the Taggert trio, Eve Landen and her "mothers", and Doctor Sang and his wife Cassandra) is a lot of fun to touch on, even though I don't return there quite as often as the Bet On Black neighborhood. I do plan for there to be plenty of more stories involving all those characters in the future, however, and this story is one that actually pulled a lot from my own life and experiences in prior relationships.

It's not just a sequel to Two Ladies, but also an exploration of how a brainwashed housewife can still have fears and insecurities, and how someone in a polycule (brainwashed or not) can sometimes worry about being a third wheel who doesn't quite fit. So here's a story about Annie Taggert and the loves of her life~
