Switching Proper Places (Part 4)
Added 2024-02-28 13:00:01 +0000 UTCRelated to this chapter, I ran a poll with $5 and $10 patrons to determine whether this story would be light and fluffy, ala Fitting In, or darker and rougher, and the latter option won out! So with that in mind, this chapter is where things start to really get rough between our leads.
This story is also a bit of a mirror to previous ones I've written in regards to the main couple. Despite keeping secrets from her, Gabriel and Mya in Bet On Black really do care about each other and don't want harm to come to one another. In Fitting In, Tanya was loved and supported by just about every character, even if they didn't realize her transformation was a willing one.
Nina and Rory, on the other hand, are one of the most toxic couples I've ever written. Nina's lack of care for Rory's mental wellbeing, and Rory's resentment of Nina, lead to them both being very petty and spiteful towards one another. They're kind of the worst D/s couple you could meet, and Nina moving them to a Stepford-esque town just amplifies that. So things are, sadly, going to get a lot worse for them before they get better.
