It's nice seeing you fill out a town that in the original film was built around one big secret, and expanding that secret to encompass different aspects of the inhabitants lives - teen clubs, auctions, cabarets, asylums, and now voluntary self-reinforcement. In a weird way, it shows how despite the enforced gender roles leaving many, MANY opportunities for abuse by those in the male role, there are ways for housewives to support each other and comfort each other, and eventually find happiness.

If the mind control drugs don’t work, then there’s hypnotic conditioning; if that doesn’t work, then there’s social reinforcement like this. Your Stepford truly is an ecosystem — all rebels and independent thinkers are inevitably brought into line, it’s just a matter of how! And in this case, I love how positive it is. For these women, Stepfordization is their true self and personal fulfillment — or at least, they’ve been led to believe it is, and that’s what matters! I love the parallels with their trans friend
