The Stepford Virus: Finale!

Thank you to everyone who voted on the ending! I wasn't very surprised by the outcome, but I wanted to give you all the choice regardless. I hope you enjoy it!
Our final outfit of the story, for reference. I'm sure you can guess who it belongs to, even before reading, but oh well~ Isn't it just darling, though? Those florals, that swing coat, the gloves? Why, it makes a girl swoon just thinking about wearing it!

personally my disappointment with the stepfordized mother scene was that Bex hung up before her mother could say anything, like a comment on wanting her daughter to come home perhaps, maybe meet some boy the mother thought would make a good match or even mention to her daughter she was going to be a sister. That was my other disappointment if this plague has been on a slow burn for months I would have thought a few of the girls would have run off to get hitched and be showing the results of them wanting to be mothers. I think it would have been a nice scene, them passing by a church with a long line of couples waiting in 1950's style wedding dresses and a club dedicated to knitting baby things.

2020-01-03 01:05:40 +0000 UTCA satisfyingly brutal end to this horror story! That moment of Laughton literally forcing the soda down Bex’s throat was surprising, horrifying, and hot. Thinking back to how Bex was horrified at the sight of her Stepfordized mom at the beginning of the story, I love to think of them reconciling once they’re on the same page again — maybe celebrating their mutual Stepfordization with a day of cleaning/cooking together in matching frilly white aprons?
